Dean and Castiel hung out every day that week

Dean and Castiel hung out every day that week. If Dean had practice, they met up after. If he worked at the shop, he had Cas tag along. They were becoming inseparable.

They'd start off studying until Dean got bored of it (pretty quickly) then they'd find something else to do. Dean was barely home. Not that he was complaining. The only thing tying him there was looking after Sammy but Sam had been hanging out with Gabe as well, so he had no responsibilities waiting for him at home.

Friday night was the game, the first game of the season. And Dean was nervous to say the least. It was hard for him to focus on his school work. He even had a test today and he was sure he'd flunked it. He couldn't even remember half the shit he was supposed to.

After school, all the football players headed to the locker room to get ready for the game. Dean quickly got into his pads and threw on his jersey, making his way over to the huddle to go over plays with the team.

Meanwhile, Charlie was dragging a reluctant Castiel into the women's bathroom.

"Charlie! I'm not supposed to be in here!" He whisper shouted into the empty bathroom.

"Relax! No one ever uses this one! And besides, it's after school anyways!" She reassured him, "now come here."

She pulled out an assortment of face paint from her bag. Crimson, gold, white (the school colors) and black. She opened them and set them out on the sink, pulling Castiel to stand in front of her.

"Is this really necessary?" He asked with a sigh.

"It's entirely necessary! I don't care if you don't care for sports. Our friend is out there and we need to be as supportive as possible! And what better way than to show school spirit and scream our heads off at his first game?"

She dipped her fingers into the paint and started going to work on his face paint. It wasn't anything too extravagant, just a few colored dots with black stripes under his eyes.

"Did you know the reason football players paint black stripes under their eyes is to reduce the glare of lights and make it easier to see?" She asked, bubbling with energy.

"No I did not.. how do you know that?"

"Dean told me a while back," she replied, turning him to face the mirror with an accomplished smile on her face.

"I look ridiculous," Cas mumbled with a frown as he studied his face.

"Not much of a change from usual then, ay?" She teased, grinning mischievously.

"Hey!"

"Kidding! I'm kidding!" She giggled, turning to put face paint on herself, "you know, I'm sure we're gonna win tonight. Not only is Dean playing so like obviously, right? But his lucky charm will be there, too!"
