Amber's P.O.V
I arrived at my school 'St. George's Anglican School" wearing my stupid school navy blue blazer, wool jumper and quilt skirt down to my knees wearing black stockings underneath. I adjust the school tie the same shade of blue and groan at the thought that it's slightly strangling me. I feel like it's slowly suffocating me to a long and painful death, I actually wouldn't be surprised if I died while at school today.
Today was cold, probably why I have to wear this layered, ugly uniform. A cold breeze brushed against my face making me shiver down my spine. I try breathing on my hands to try and warm me up but obviously that doesn't work.
Being a private school kid, people always tease you and say that you're stuck up and spoilt. But I promise that is not me , I come from a single parent family where it's just my mum paying the school fees. She has to work her butt off but it's all worth it in the end she says, I want you to have a good education she tells me. I'm really grateful for this, oh my god stop Amber this is stupid being all emotional and dramatic about school. Remember school is hell transported above ground in its goal to torment children and teenagers.

I throw my bag into my bottom locker and slam the door shut before clicking the old lock shut securing the locker."Hey!" I hear a voice full of excitement and joy. It's got to be Sophia only she was happy on Monday mornings. I wish sometimes her Monday optimism would rub off onto me but I'm also glad it doesn't.
"Hello, to the only person in the universe that is happy on a Monday morning." I say with a laugh. She frowns at me.
"Well at least embrace the fact that sun has risen once again today so that we can live another day." She smiles while grasping her cross necklace and kissed it before hiding it back under her uniform. I raise my eyebrow at Sophia.
She was a strong Christian, she goes to church every single Sunday and prays at least 4 times a day. Sometimes I think she's crazy but I still love her anyway. She an amazing friend but we can't use the praise "oh my god" around her or she'll have a spaz attack.
"Anyway so, how was Willow's party?" She asked, giggling. Willow's party? What, who, where?
"Oh, that party," I say slowly retracing my memory. "Well apart from the fact it completely sucked, yeah it was alright." I say alright in a sarcastic tone.
Sophia scrunched up her nose "so it wasn't good?" She gritted her teeth.
"Not good is an understatement it was despicably horrible." I explain.
"Oh, well it's a good thing my parents don't let me go to parties then." Sophia smiled. I chuckled at her statement."Amber, Sophia!" I heard someone scream my name. I turn around in confusion and a girl leaps on me. I jolt backwards eyes full with shock. Who was jumping in front of me?
It was Karen. She was bubbling with excitement and jumping up and down while grasping on my shoulders.
"You'll never believe what just happened to me!" Karen exclaimed in a hyperactive voice. She was smiling from ear to ear letting out little squeals every few seconds.
"Why is everyone so happy this morning?" I question, thinking out loud.
"Aaron Yates, just talked to me!" She squealed again continuing to pounce from the ground.
Aaron Yates, does not ring a bell in my head so I reply,
"Who?"Karen stops jumping and brings her hands from my shoulders. She looks at me stunned.
"You don't know who Aaron Yates?" Sophia asked from behind me. I turned around to face her she looked stunned also. I begin to feel confused was I suppose to know who this Aaron Yates person was.
"Nope, no idea." I answer shaking my head.
"He's popular, Andrew's best friend." Karen adds.
I roll my eyes at the word popular. I can see where this story is going.
