I didn't ever really believe I was worth any trouble. I was smarter to think that I was replaceable, it made me work harder and keep up with others quickly. Erskein saw that when I was tasked to oversee the Project Rebirth. Took me under his wing, became my advocate. It's why he trusted me with the secret first trial of the perfected super serum. It took some time getting used to: the strength, agility, and my figure. Today was the first day with the recruits. I walk up to the grounds and the SSR's picks for the chance to have the serum, running through their veins. I see Erskein's pick from a mile away, even with the small figure, Rogers I believe from our conversation.
"Recruits, attention!" I shout as I come from behind. They straighten up at attention in line. "Gentlemen, I am Agent Jackson. I supervise all operations for this division." I introduce myself walking down the line of men. "Why don't you give us a smile while we're here." I hear one speak out of line. I turn to the voice to see a man resembling a neanderthal. I take a step to turn towards him. "What's your name, soldier?" I ask of him. "Gilmore Hodge, sweetheart." He says with a smirk. I raise an eyebrow not breaking eye contact. "Step forward, Hodge.." He listens but looks to a fellow beside him, smiling like he's won my affection. "Put your right foot forward." I order.
"We gonna wrassle?" He asks as he does what he's told. "'Cause I got a few moves I know you'll like.-" Before he finishes I pull his arm into a lock behind his back. "One move and this arm is gone. If you ever speak out of line again to me, I won't be as easy as some of the chums you have for command." I say to him before pushing him down.
"Agent Jackson!" I stand up straight quickly to Phillips joining the party. I slick a stand off my hair back behind my ear as I turn around. "Colonel Phillips." I say with a smile. "I can see that you are breaking in the candidates. That's good!" He smirks as he looks to Hodge in pain on the ground. "Get your ass up out of that dirt and stand in that line at attention till somebody comes tells you what to do." He spits at him before he rushes back to attention paying no mind to his pain. "Yes, sir!"
I stand to the side as Phillips looks at the men. "General Patton has said that wars are fought with weapon, but they are won by men. We are going to win this war because we have the best men. And because they are going to get better." He looks at Rogers for a moment. "Much better." I smirk at the sight of him small and serious. He looks at me to continue and I step up to the center, facing them.
"The Strategic Scientific Reserve is an Allied effort made up of the best minds in the free world. Our goal is to create the best army in history. But every army starts with one man. At the end of this week, we will choose that man. He will be the first in a new breed of super-soldier and they will personally escort Adolf Hitler to the gates of hell."

I sit in the buggy writing notes for each of the soldiers. None of them really stood out except Rogers. Erskein was right about something being there, I just don't know what at the moment.
"Pick up the pace, ladies! Let's go, let's go! Double time!" We hear them closing in to the buggy on their run, all perfect and in sequence, Rogers trailing behind. "Come on! Faster! Faster!Move! Move! Squad, halt!" They all come to a halt in line with each other. "That flag means we're only at the halfway point. First man to bring it to me gets a ride back with Agent Jackson." He dangles me like a carrot which the Neanderthals quickly jump and tackle to attempt first. It's funny to an extent, especially since nobody's succeeded when the answer was in front of their face. I turn back around to my notes, "Move, move! Come on! Get up there! If that's all you got, this army's in trouble!"
"Get up there, Hodge! Come on! Get up there!Nobody's got that flag in 17 years!" They all cheer as they climb just to slip back down the pole. "Now fall back into line! Come on, fall in! Their sergeant rally's them we are about to head off until, "Let's go! Get back into formation!" I turn to see Rogers looking the flag up and down. "Rogers! I said fall in!" He shouts again before he pulls the pins keeping the pole standing, cause it to fall and the flag easy to just grab. He got it, the first one ever to actually solve it. He grabs and rolls the flag up and hands it to his sergeant. "Thank you, sir." He says as he jumps in the back of the buggy, he looks at me tired and relieved but also timid. I brush it off and turn back around as we drive to the end of the trail.

"Faster, ladies! Come on. My grandmother has more life in her, God rest her soul." I say as they all do their push ups. "Move it!" I shout before going to stand near Erskein whose walked up with colonel Phillips. "Up!" I shout for them to quickly stand in attention. "Jumping Jacks. Come on, girls! You can give more than that!" I say as if their jumps were pathetic.
"Grenade!" I see a grenade fall in the middle of them med for them all to run away from to to take cover, I jump to get on top but surprisingly Rogers jumped on to first, "Get away! Get back!" He shouts balled up in top of it. I watch as the grenade doesn't go off and Rogers stays down. "It was a dummy grenade." Someone says before coming back out. "Is this a test?" He asks sitting up a bit. I look back to Phillips who threw it, "He's still skinny." He says to Erskein before walking away. I look back to Rogers and smile at the act.

I wake up in a cell SHEILD had provided for me, making me go through my charts over and over for months until I could fully remember my life. It wasn't until I visited the Captain America Exhibit at the Smithsonian to fully understand. I was used and traded, tortured and broken. I could remember all of it. What I did on my missions for them, I don't know. They say the code words and I'm not me anymore.
Once I proved my worth, I could make the cell more of my own, but I always knew what it was, a cell.I missed home, my life, 70 years ago. It was strange waking up every so often to a new time with advanced technology. I never knew what was real, it all just felt like one big dream...One big nightmare. I just couldn't wake up and I had no control.
I throw on some dark jeans and a light blue T-shirt. I walk out the door to see Maria Hill walking up to get me, it seemed. "His vitals are picking up, you need to come quickly."
We rushed to his room but as we got closer Nick called Maria making us stop. I look at her before she turns us around and we walk to the exit.
"All Agents, Code 13."We hear through the intercom. We run out and I go to sit in a car with Nick Fury, who was holding a SHEILD jacket for me as we chase him down. "Bet you weren't expecting this, this afternoon." He says slyly. "No, but I did know he would run. I told you he would." I say throwing the jacket on. We block him off in Times Square, he looks around confused and lost. We step out, Fury and I side by side, "At ease, soldier!" I shout before her turns to us. He looks shocked and terrified to see me. "Look, I'm sorry about that little show back there, but we thought it best to break it to you slowly." Fury says to him.
"Break what?"
"You've been asleep, Cap." I answer stepping towards him, "For almost 70 years." I got close. "Then..Then how are you-?"
"Alive? That's a long story for when you have your situation sinked in first." He just looks down to me. "They do the same to you?" He asks. I notice Fury waved off half the squad. I look back at him, "Like I said..you take care of you first."
