Sammy's POV*

I had every intention of marching up to him & finding out what was going on, but something held me back; something I wasn't too sure of. Was it my confusion? My fear? My thoughts got cut off when I heard a car engine and realized the car I'd been hiding behind wants to leave. I quickly got out of it's way and ran to my car, hoping I wasn't seen by Jake. I got inside my car & started my engine. I heard my phone ringtone and jumped at the sound of it, quickly pressing the green "Accept" button.

"Hello?" I said, not even looking at the caller ID.

"Sam! There's a party tonight at Todd's and we're going. I'm not sure what's been going on lately, but I know for a fact you need some cheering up and I won't take no for an answer. Ill pick you up at 8." Jazzy quickly said before hanging up. Ugh. I groaned at the thought of a social event. I hadn't really talked to people this entire week because I had been trying to avoid Jake. Everything leads to him. I let out another groan as I started to drive home.

I parked in my driveway and walked in to find the house empty. Typical mother; she was probably out drinking again. I walked upstairs, dragging my feet along the way. "Maybe if I walk slow enough, time will stop", I thought to myself. I started the water to a hot bubble bath, I needed it. Jazzy was going to pick me up in 3 hours; it was still only 5. I stripped and sunk into the boiling, soothing water. I hadn't realized how many aches I had all over my body due to the fall earlier this week & the fact that I hadn't been sleeping well. The hot water left a burning sensation stinging my skin. I sunk in deeper, only leaving my nose and eyes out of the water & closed my eyes. I lifted my head a little above the water & put earphones in both my ears, blasting my soft rock music.

"These battle scars don't look like they're fading, don't look like they're ever going away! They ain't ever gonna change, these battle-" I started to sing at the top of my lungs, until I opened my eyes and noticed Jazzy standing in the doorway of my bathroom. She always had a spare key to my house with her in case of any emergencies.

"Damn Sammy, you get better every time I hear you!" She said casually, not remembering she scared the crap out of me two seconds earlier.

"Dammit Jazzy! You scared me! What're you doing here? It's only 5:30." I said, while moving the bubbles to cover my areas & blushing to her comment about my voice.

"I came here to talk to you & find out what's been bugging you lately. Plus, I was bored at home." She said as she started to giggle at her own joke. I rolled my eyes and reach for my towel.

"Turn around.." I said, feeling shy and insecure about my body.

"Relax Sam, we've seen eachother naked before." She said, making me laugh. I wrapped the towel around me and started scanning my closet for something to wear.

"Okay, spill" Jazzy said as she sat down on my bed. I thoroughly explained everything that happened to her & she sat there looking just as confused as I felt.

"Anyway, how does this look?" I tried changing the subject, as I held up a pair of skinny jeans and a casual long sleeve shirt.

"Listen, you want to make Jake feel sorry for making you feel this way, so that's not gonna do the job. How about..THIS." She said, holding up a black, studded bustier. I shrugged my shoulders and started to change. Jazzy decided she would put my makeup on; eyeliner above my eyelids, mascara, blush, and red lipstick. She dried my hair with a blow-drier and added some moose. After she was completely done with her little makeover, I looked in the mirror and my jaw literally dropped; I actually looked hot. My skinny jeans fit perfectly over my curves and my bustier ended just below my rib cage, exposing my belly button ring, my flat stomach, and hourglass figure. I slipped on red heels to match my lipstick and pulled on a leather jacket and we both started walking downstairs. It was still 6:30, so we drove over to Jazzy's house so she can get ready too. By the time she was done, she looked amazing. She wore a short, tight, yellow top, along with black skinny jeans that fit perfectly around her hips, revealing her hip bones and a part of her flat stomach. She had her hair straightened, her makeup was very light; just eyeliner, blush and mascara, and she wore bright yellow heels to match her top.

This was going to be a fun night.
