Me and Oakley were sitting at a diner with Dave, while we waited til it was time for us to get back on the road again.

They were talking about random stuff before Dave got up to go check on the bus.

"We been together for a year now and you're still scared to look me in my eyes", he said before eating some chips.

"Scared?", I said and stopped eating, looking up at him.

"Prove you're not scared. Look me in my eyes and hold a conversation with me."

We locked eyes and he started talking.

"You love me?"

"Yes."

"Ok. What do you like best about me?"

I did a nervous laugh and looked away.

"No. Eye contact is important. Don't be shy", he said and put his hand on my chin, gently turning my head to look at him again.

I locked eyes with him. It felt like he was staring into my soul.

"Does it help you if I stop talking?"

We sat there for a minute just staring at each other before I started biting my lip nervously.

"You're intimidated", he chuckled then sat up in his seat. He's enjoying this.

He put his elbows on the table and propped his head up.

"I'm nervous not intimidated. There's a difference", I said, suppressing a smile.

"No not really... there's no need to be nervous though. I'm nobody perfect", he said before he smiled.

I had to look away. This man's trying to hypnotize me.

"Uhn uhn", he said then gently turned my head again. "Tell me why I make you nervous."

"Because", I said and tried to laugh off the butterflies in my stomach.

"Because what? I'm listening."

"Because you look at me like that and expect me to be calm."

"I'm just making eye contact with you, I'm not doing anything", he said before smiling again."My smile makes you nervous doesn't it?"

I didn't say anything. He can clearly see how my demeanor changes every time he smiles.

"Here. Hold my hand and try not to be so nervous", he said and grabbed ahold of my hand.

"See you're doing that. Stop being so sweet to me", I chuckled and internally screamed.

"Oh so you want me to act like I don't want your love and affection?", he asked then arched his brow.

"I would greatly appreciate it", I joked.

His phone started ringing.

He answered it.

"Cench, it's time to head out", Dave said over the phone.

"Ok be there in a minute."

He hung up, then looked at me.

"We'll continue this on the bus, love."
