"Tsireya!" You shouted, laughing as she splashed you with water.
Both of you were done with your chores for the day so you both decided to spend the remaining light in the water.
You both were looking for seashells and stones underwater at first, a fun little game you and Tsireya made some days after they found you. The both of you took your findings to the shore to see your findings but as soon as she put her shells on the sand, you had the fun idea to splash her with water.
Tsireya looked at you with shock but quickly recovered.
"Oh, You're so on!" she said, splashing you back.
Now you both were in the water splashing the other. Your laughter was heard around the area that attracted some of the children to join you two, their faces lighting up with joy as you all played together. Others looked towards you all as they went about their day, a small smile can be seen on each one as they saw the joy that surrounded the scene.
You couldn't help but laugh as one child pushed one down underwater, creating a chain reaction for the other children as they piled on top of each other with a battle cry as they went.
You were about to tell them to stop but were taken by surprise as arms wrapped around your center, pulling you upwards.
"Aonung! You scared me." You said in surprise but with laughter in your voice.
Putting you down, he spun you around to face him, a smirk on his face looking at you with happiness. "So, what's the score now? Five to one? You gotta up your game Anilri or else I'm going to win this one too."
Scoffing at his smug face, you pushed on his chest playfully, making him laugh.
You have no idea how it started but you and Aonung had created a small competition between the two of you. The rules were simple: count how many times you can scare the other, with each round starting at first light and ending at eclipse.
You admit that Aonung has always won but you pride yourself that you once had the future Olo'eyktan peed his loincloth.
He swore you to secrecy of what happened, not that you were going to tell anyone. You're not mean enough to embarrass the next Olo'eyktan to his people. But you did have fun bringing it up in small hits when he's being extra annoying.
Looking towards your back, you were relieved that Tsireya had the situation handled with the children.
The more you had fun the faster time went. None of you noticed that it was almost close to eclipse until one of the child's parents called their names, taking them home to get ready for the communal dinner.
You and Tsireya shooed the remaining kids towards the shore and told them to go back to their families to get ready as well.
You too walked up to the shore, grabbing your hair in one pile to squeeze all the water out.
"AnilrI! Where are you going?" Asked Tsireya, both she and Aonung still in the water.
"I'm not going to dinner tonight, I still need to finish the net for tomorrow's hunt. You know how useless Kiloä is at fixing those things. I'll see you guys tomorrow." you explained, waving to them goodbye.
You didn't notice the worried looks the siblings gave each other as you turned your back.
You felt bad leaving them behind knowing that it's been days since you last went to a feast with them. But toning, you just wanted to be alone. For some reason, your chest was starting to hurt again. It was normal, even before you remembered your death at the hands of that demon, but what baffled you is that it wasn't going away like it used to. It usually only lasts for about a minute but today it was a constant thrum in your chest.
