It was the end of the day, the tulkan has left, Lo'ak and I sat by the edge of the net. Watching the stars, "You know my dad came from a star?" I looked at him "Which" he pointed up , at a round planet " It's called Earth, Dad said it used to be beautiful loving until the sky people murdered their eywa" I laughed, "Whoa, now that's crazy" he nodded.
"I don't really believe in eywa" Lo'ak looked at me in shock, "How are you from Pandora and don't believe in eywa?" I shrugged my shoulders " I mean I believe she's our mother, the creator of pandora but I don't believe in all that shit other Na'vi believe in" "like what?".
"Na'vi being born twice, all energy must return back like what energy, they're dead" Lo'ak laughed, it made me smile "my mother calls my crazy for not believing" I lowered my head, " I understand you"
Talking to someone about your beliefs felt nice, "What do you think about death?" I asked Lo'ak "I fear it, I don't look like I do but I do, I've had so many close deaths I can't even count..i always prepare myself for the worst..most of the time I wanna give up on my life" he looked sad, I took his hand and held it in my mines "I feel the same, sometimes I just let myself go in the water, it feels nice"
"you're not scared of death?" I shook my head "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A Na'vi who lives fully, is prepared to die at any time" Lo'ak nodded, "Always remember that" I let go of his hand, "...Why won't anyone see me for who I actually am? Demon blood..that's all they see!" " I see you, Lo'ak" a smile rose on his face, but then it faded. He stood up and walked away.
Confused, I got up and followed "Where are you going?" "home" Something's wrong, I quickly caught up to him.
"What's wrong?" He took a deep breath, "How can you like someone like me?" "Because you understand me, Lo'ak" He tried walking away but I grabbed his arm.
"I'm not a great person Tsi'rey I set bad examples for everyone..I'm a failure" I rested my palm on his cheek "I know how you feel, and your a great person you bring happiness to everyone Lo'ak" I paused "Even me..! I'm glad we are friends". Lo'ak looked at me, his gaze softened, smiling.
"You make me happy Tsi'rey" he told me, "I wish I can make myself happy" we both smiled, "Tsi'rey" I heard Neteyam call for me "Hey teyam" he grabbed my hand "Come I want to show you something" I waved goodbye to Lo'ak.
Again he had that jealous expression.
