Chapter 12{Childish issues}

Neteyam's pov
I groaned, opening my eyes to the morning light filtered into the marui. I'll never get used to this much sun so early in the morning. I sleepily looked down at Aonung and smiled, seeing that he was awake. "Sleep well princess?" Aonung asked, kissing my chin. I snickered, feeling the warmth of his lips lingering on my chin. I nodded, dazed. "Did you?" I then asked. "I did" Aonung answered.

"Hey lovebirds!" i heard a voice say. Definitely Kiri. I blushed and loosened my arms around Aonung's head as i sat up whilst Aonung still had his arms wrapped around my waist. I saw Kiri looking at us with a smug look and rolled my eyes. "We are not official" i said. "Yet.." i mumbled the last part. It seems that everyone was now awake and was staring at me and Aonung.

"Let go of my brother fishlips!" Lo'ak said, storming over to us with his hands balled up into fists. "Lo'ak, do not!" I warned, glaring at him. "Dude leave them be" Rotxo spoke. "Tsireya get your boyfriend" Kiri said crossing her arms in annoyance. "He- is not my boyfriend!" Tsireya said, flustered. That made Lo'ak steam down a bit but, still huffed out, still mad. I sighed. "Lo'ak why must you be like this?" I asked. "Your asking me why? Why are YOU letting him touch you?" I tensed when hearing that.

Aonung loosened his arm around my waist and sat up, while an arm still rested around my waist, gripping my hip as he caressed it up and down. I relaxed, feeling my nerves unwind. Aonung then smirked looking at Lo'ak. "And? I dont see how that's any of your business?" Aonung said. "Please brother do not instigate so early in the morning" Tsireya said, upset. "Sister-" Aonung started but was cut off. "I was talking to my brother, not you fishlips" Lo'ak said.

"Hey hey, lets all chill out alright?" Rotxo said coming in between the two. "Lo'ak, what i let him do, does not concern you" I said with a frown. I was very disappointed seeing Lo'ak act up. "Yes it does! I am your brother teyam!" Lo'ak said. Tsireya walked to Lo'ak and patted his shoulders as she guided him out of the pod room, whispering things to him in an attempt to calm him. "Well someone woke up at the wrong side of the hammock this morning" Kiri said. I bit my lip and looked down. I didn't understand why Lo'ak was being so difficult. "We'll leave you two to talk, come quick though" Kiri said and gave a look to Rotxo. They both left the pod, leaving me and Aonung alone.

I turned to Aonung looking at him, upset. "Im sorry about my brother nung, i dont know what has gotten into him lately- he isnt like that.." I said. "You shouldn't be apologizing for him, it is alright" Aonung stood up and held out a hand for me and I smiled at the very familiar gesture. "Such a gentleman you are, always lending a hand out for me" I said teasingly. "What an honor it is to be called a gentleman by you" Aonung said rolling his eyes playfully as i took his hand. Aonung pulled me up, bringing me closer to him. "Would you be willing to go on a date with me tey?" Aonung asked. A date? No one's ever asked me. "Yes, i would love to nung" I said grinning up at Aonung. I've never been on a date before so i was excited nonetheless. "Wonderful to hear, I'll come get you before eclipse" Aonung said with a smile and i nodded.

"Can i kiss your cheek?" Aonung asked. but i noticed his eyes were fixed on my lips. "You may, shxawng" I said with a chuckle. Aonung leaned down and planted a soft kiss to my cheek. "You go on out tey, I'll come out in a bit, i have to.. do something" Aonung said and i looked at him confused but didn't dwell on it too much and nodded.

"Dont be too long" I said and headed out the pod room in a happy mood. When i entered into the main pod, i looked around at everyone and didn't find Tuk anywhere. I walked over to mother and asked, "Ma where is Tuk?", "Good morning my son, Tuk went to get Lo'ak and Tsireya" Mother answered. "Oh alright" I mumbled. "When are we leaving?" I asked. I didn't want to leave yet but i didn't feel okay with staying here. I felt as if we were imposing. "Tonowari insisted we stay for breakfast, we will leave after" Mother said and walked to help the tsahik prepare dishes.
