Scared

The Author and her cousin brother was outside their home, which was near a pond where snakes and animals roam around, the pond wasn't much deep and vines and useless plants grew around it so it was used to dispose things, or just to clean things as cars, near the pond. Author was cleaning her bike with a cloth while her cousin was splashing water at it, it was going normal, until they heard noises.

Author: Hey throw a rock at the snake it might be wild and come at us.

Brother: Yeah yeah, but it would be much dangerous if it was a street dog, they are deadly

Then, they started to hear more noises of the animal in the plants

Author: um, Yeah if it is dog yes, but snakes are much deadlier.

Brother: kay, if ya say so *splashes some water at it*

But the noises grew more, making both of them scared, the others were out, so they both were alone

Author:....Splash much more..

Brother:...*Splashes*

Then to their horror, something looked up at them, making them freeze in fear. Yes. Really

Author: um...[Brother's name] am I seeing things or can ya see it as well?

Brother:...I can see it as well...We should probably run inside or else it might come at us...

Author: *Already walking to home* Y-yes yes

Brother: Hey-*Runs in*

Both of them were very scared, Author walked here and there, while her brother was panicking

Author: WHAT THE F[np] WAS THAT THING?! *scared and walking here and there, checking if the door is locked*

Brother: Don't scream! And I don't know!

Author: *tries to calm down* *was literally shaking* Why is it even here?!

Brother: *Is shaking as well* Well it is better if lock the backdoor as well! *checking the windows*

Author:*locks the backdoor* What the hell should we do?...Should we attack it with sister's shoes? it is smelly enough to make anyone be 6 feet away.

Brother: What if it attacks us if we do that?!

Author: Then all we have is broom and kitchen knife. we can't just throw knife at it and run to my bike and escape...We can use the broom?

Brother: How?! It will attack us in any way! Heck it might even follow us to your home!

Both of them started to argue but suddenly stopped when they heard a noise, to add things up, it was silent. Both of them looked at each other, and somehow understood that they should remain silent yet it was very difficult, knowing that something is out there and- they heard scratch at door. This made them run to the kitchen and hide, Author was holding broom while her brother was holding some tools used to repair stuff. But then they heard people talking.

Author: THEY ARE HERE! YAY!

Brother: FINALLY!

After that, they informed about what happened to Author's brother and sister's mother, to her to only laugh. And it looked like that was just a dog but somehow that resulted in her brother to catch a fever.
