CHAPTER 3: BRAND NEW CHANGE

Chioma woke up in the middle of the night panting because in her dream she was having sex with Damian and Linus walked in, and each time she woke up panting. It was the third time in a row she'd had this exact dream, and she didn't want to admit it to herself, but her last encounter with Damian had left her feeling very guilty.

Was this how she was going to continue, always cheating on her husband? Will Damian always be available or will she keep looking for new boy toys to satisfy her sexual desires? Was Biola right when she indirectly called her a hypocrite for calling masturbation a sin?, She has never tried and she feels Linus will never even be in support of her using toys. He's a man of God and would definitely judge her, but isn't it better than cheating on him?

After the whole thing that happened with her and Damian, she refused to pick up Damian's calls and went as far as blocking him. Although Biola, her friend, doesn't know this has been going on between her and Damian for a little over 2 years now, she's always felt afraid of confiding with her so-called "best friend" who has been pretty distant from her for sometimes now. What if Biola judges her for her actions and looks at her differently, she was still heaving when Linus moved beside her rubbing his eyes

"My love, what's wrong? Are you okay? " He asks, sitting up

"I'm not okay, I just had a really bad dream. It was so scary "

"Do you want to talk about it? I'll go get you a glass of water," Mr. Linus says, trying to get out of bed.

"Don't worry darling, I don't want to talk about any of the things I saw in my dreams, it's fine, it's over now" Chioma says as Mr. Linus pulls her to him as they go back to sleep.

"Madam here's water, how are you feeling?" Bisi asks as she hands Chioma a glass of water.

"I'm not feeling very good, I think I have a fever or something. Call me Amos. I want him to go get me something from the pharmacist. " Chioma says she was a bit excited and concerned. She missed her period last month and she has been feeling nauseated and light headed for the past 2 weeks. She had been sleeping a lot and her breasts were extremely swollen and painful, and she knew that all these symptoms all together meant that she might be pregnant, but she didn't want to get too excited about it. Besides, she's really worried what if the pregnancy is as a result of the encounter she had with Damian. Why is she even thinking of Damian in this situation? Linus can definitely get her pregnant too, right? Why is she so much in doubt about that conclusion? She won't think too much about it. Let her see if she is pregnant first before any conclusion is made.

"Madam, you called me?" Amos inquired, his pot belly protruding from beneath his blue on blue security uniform, which was rumpled.

"Here, go to the pharmacy and get me three different types of pregnancy test strips, and no one should know about this errand I'm sending you; if I hear of it from anywhere, consider yourself a complete stranger to this household."

"Yes Madam" Amos says as he walks out to get the stuff.

Chioma checks her Facebook notification. It's a post from Damian. He's in a club with ladies around him. He looks sweaty and drunk. Chioma rolls her eyes as she mutters to herself, "Lord please let this not be the father of my child"

Chioma stared at the 4 different pregnancy test strips on the bathroom sink, all showing double lines indicating she was indeed pregnant. She couldn't hide her excitement as she looked at the results multiple times, making sure they came out real and that it wasn't just a figment of her imagination. She grinned widely as she thought of a life growing in her, her own child, a part of her, and the other part of one of the two men she had let into her life.
