CHAPTER 8: THE TALK

Chioma kept on calling Uche for a whole week and texting him for her request but he kept on finding excuses or he avoided all her attempts completely and soon enough she gave up. Linus didn't stop hanging with Damian. in fact , she has made it a point of duty to hide Blossom away each time Damian came when she wasn't aware of his visit, and each time she was aware he was visiting, she usually takes Blossom away from the house to outings, it really was stressing her a lot but the only person enjoying the whole new development was Bisi. Damian came around a lot which she found weird,  was it because of her? She usually thought, and she also noticed how Chioma was either not around of totally invincible wherever he came around and that was enough to make her happy, not feeling Chioma's presence as much as she used to.

"Good evening sir" Bisi says as she opens the door and Mr Linus and Damian walks in, Blossom was seated in the living room watching her favourite cartoon "Sofia the first", she quickly stood up and ran to her dad, hugging him tight. She pulled back and greeted Damian not looking him in the face as instructed by her mum, who told her that in case they bumped into Damian unaware. She he quickly hurried to pick up her purple coloured stuffed toy to go to the room as her dad calls her back

"Blessing come her jhoor, must you hide inside each time your uncle comes, he's not a random visitor he's uncle Damian okay?, so you can sit and watch your show" Mr Linus says as blossom innocently jumps back on the sofa

"What’s her name?" Damian asks blossom pointing to the stuffed doll

"Lulu" Blossom replies a bit shy

"Let me see Lulu, come" Damian takes out his hand calling her to him

"Sit here" he taps the empty seat beside him

"So I'm guessing Lulu's favourite colour is purple?"

"Yes and she wants to be an adventurous princess"

"I see, that’s really nice, what's Lulu's mom's favourite colour"

"I'm not her mother" Blossom says laughing

My Linus is glancing at them as he works on his iPad, he smiles at how much they sync so well, their smiles looks so similar, it's like they smile with their whole face, he used to wonder how Blossom got such precious smile cause he knows himself and Chioma's smile were horrible compared to Blossom, and look at a distant relative having the exact smile, genetics is unbelievable.

Chioma walks into the living room rubbing her eyes, she putting on one of Linus's tops with no bra on and a cotton bum short

"Where is Blo-" she stops right in her tracks as she sees blossom playing with Damian of all people, what the hell did she tell this girl?

"Baby welcome, and you madam to your room now" she said to Blossom with that warning look as blossom at instant quickly picks up lulu and exits the living room

Chioma notices Damian scanning her from top to bottom and immediately she became aware of her current look, she quickly walks away from the living room self conscious as Damian smiles, the fact that he still have the same effects on her, he thought. Linus unaware if the whole act that just transpired takes a quick look at Damian and gives him a comforting smile as he noticed Chioma didn't acknowledge Damian's presences in the room, he just cannot understand why Chioma detests Damian so much.

"My guy I'm telling you that this child is mine" Damian says taking a sip of his drink

"How are you so sure and why is it that all of a sudden you want that child so badly, why do you want to carry someone else's burden on you" Kadri Damian's friend inquires
