I rode the taxi, and I told myself silently that I would succeed, and make it to china safely, even if it took all the time in the world, I would make it there eventually, to find those rhubarbs. Unfortunately, the taxi driver heard me talking to myself in the car, and I got kicked out.
No worries, vengeance will eventually come to me. But before I could continue my journey, a wave of anguish came over everything, and the taxi driver could not survive. He faded away. I had to get out of here, or I would become weak and eventually perish in the dark times of this place. The same wave of anguish the cicadas felt back home. It was not safe here, so I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I could not tell how long I ran, it might have been 9 hours. I felt something that I have not felt in a long time, fear. I kept running. That feeling of fear overcame me and I knew I had to run away from the dangers that lurk. I was like prey, and the darkness was foe. I felt like a deer running from a hunter. I never knew what it was like to be a deer. What a nice experience. Maybe not all that nice, but it is alright. So much time had passed, but all that running got me to Columbus. I made it. It was midnight as I looked off into the distance, the city of Columbus. My beautiful hair was blowing in the wind, as I dramatically said to myself, "I will find those rhubarbs".
I heard the taunts of cicadas, but I paid no attention to them, knowing they would all fade away and perish, disappear from all existence. Perhaps, I could keep one? Maybe just one. I walked over to the tree, and a lonely silent cicada was there. I quickly captured it, yet it made no sound. It did not move. Perhaps.. It found comfort in my presence? I poked it a couple of times but it stayed still. I didn't mind, and you could say I was glad. It would not be an obstacle in my journey if I took the cicada along with me.
