"Oh my gosh, Tabitha, I think I'm gonna puke," Jenna complained beside me, taking the barf bag out of the compartment in front of her.
After Niall and I's 'almost kiss' we had headed outside where everyone else was, in Niall's front driveway, and they told us that we'd be taking the plane. Was I notified of this before? No. Nobody ever tells me anything. Apparently they had gotten the plane tickets a while ago and paid for mine since it was my great idea to go in the first place. But the only thing I'm thinking right now is that it's a good thing I'm not the one who gets plane sick. Jenna on the other hand? Yeesh. Her face is the same color as the green apples I have in the fridge at home. She was sitting between Liam and me; I roll my eyes.
"Pussy," I state, "you have to toughen up a bit, Jen, it's only an hour long plane ride and it's already been twenty minutes." I really didn't get what her problem was with planes, I personally love them. But while I was telling Jenna to toughen up, Liam was being the perfect boyfriend (as usual).
"It's okay, babe," Liam comforts her while rubbing her back. "Only fourty more minutes," he adds. Jenna groans.
"Fourty minutes is too long!" She lays her head on Liam's lap while he strokes her hair, trying to calm her down.
"It'll be fine, don't worry love," Liam says to her.
"I hope so..." Jenna replies.
"Toughen up Jen!" I tell her again, getting frustrated by her complaining. One hour! Maybe that's a little long but I get easily impatient with Jenna whining. Liam shoots darts at me and I decide to be quiet. Deciding that if I couldn't get Jenna to shut up by being straight up, I thought being nice would be better. I put on a fake smile and say, "It's okay, Jen. The second time I was on a plane, I was the same way and now I'm fine."
It was bullshit, I've never been plane sick.
Jenna looks at me and sniffs. "Really?" she asks, seeming to believe me. I nod. That seemed to help because she stopped groaning after that. I looked at Liam and he gives me a small smile, mouthing 'thank you'. Since there was nine of us in the group, we took up three rows of seats. Jenna, Liam and I were in the middle one; Niall, Zayn and Rachel were behind us; leaving Harry, Lizzy and Louis in front. I turned back to look at Niall.
"Hey," I whisper in case any of them were taking a nap. He smiles.
"Hi," he replies.
"How's it going?" I ask. He shakes his head and rolls his eyes, nodding his head in Zayn and Rachel's direction. Rachel had her head in the crook of Zayn's neck while they're fingers were wrapped together. They were whispering and giggling to eachother like high-schoolers. "Hey lovebirds," I say to them, getting they're attention, "mind keeping it down back there? This airs so full of love it's hard to hear myself think."
Zayn ignores me and Rachel rolls her eyes. "Last time I checked, cuddling wasn't against the law," she protests.
"Meow!" I say, making the same hand motion as a cat. "Feisty one you got there Zayn." Rachel sighs and lays her head back on Zayn's shoulder.
"Thanks for the info," Zayn says sarcastically. I look over at Niall who was laughing quietly. I wink at him and turn back around, deciding I'd bother Lizzy and Louis now. I've decided this was a good way to waste time.
I lean forward and whisper into Harry's ear. "How's it going Haz?" He'd been pretty quiet. Harry tilts his head so I could see the side of his face.
"Pretty good," he tells me. "I was having a nap." He adds, which basically meant to piss off. He can dream.
"That's cool!" I say with intentional enthusiasm. "Did you have any dreams?" I ask, purposely stalling him from trying to go back to sleep.
"No," he replies, "because I only slept for a few minutes," putting emphasis on the 'few minutes'. Okay, I know when someone's getting annoyed. Letting him go back to his sleep I tap on Louis, who was in the middle seat next to Harry.
"Hi Lou," I whisper, actually hoping to strike up a conversation. But all I heard is snoring. They must have all been sleeping becasue I looked over the seat at Lizzy who was slumped over onto Louis awkwardly. Alrighty then, attention back to Jenna. "How you doing Jen?" I ask her even though I really didn't care for her reply. Call me rude but I really can't stand when poeple complain; I wasn't born with the patience for it. She turns her head in my direction giving me a weak smile.
"Pretty good," she tells me, "what you said really helped."
"Glad I could be of assistance," I say back. I look at Liam who was looking down at her in adoration. Liam and Jenna were the perfect couple. They were both mature, keeping the rest of us in line, but Liam was also a really funny guy, with a big heart. Jenna was out-going and adventurous with some humour of her own. They knew how to keep eachother happy like a real couple should.
I shifted my weight so that it was on my right leg now, and I watched out the window examining the clouds and periodic birds. I started to drift off when the pilot came on the intercom.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentleman," the pilot booms in a thick Irish accent, "we are now right above London and will be landing within a few minutes. Please put on your seatbelts and and turn off all electronics. Thank you for flying with us and have a great rest of your day."
I excitedly fasten my seat belt and sit up, quickly making sure my iPhone was still on airplane mode. I hear Louis in front of us, squealing like a six year old girl.
"This is so exciting!" he exclaims, grabbing onto Harry's arm.
"I'm excited too," Harry smiles looking back at me. He winks and I give him a smirk. Suddenly there was a jolt on the plane (which caused Jenna to let out a small yelp) and we were on the ground. We were finally in London. This was going to be the best three weeks off my life; completely free of small town kids, parents, work and drama.
