PROLOGUE

Growing up, Avery was always a cheerful girl. She enjoyed reading, exploring, sleeping, drawing, and sitting in the rain. Avery was the polar opposite from Bella. The older girl was clumsy while her younger sister was graceful and cheerful.

Though, not everything was sunshine and rainbows for this sweet girl. When Avery got mad, she got mad. She had a history of accidentally breaking glasses when she would scream. She would later discover that this was because of her mother's abilities that she had passed down to the girl. Avery was a witch.

When Avery wasn't mad (which she rarely was) she was usually sitting on the roof, drawing or reading. She enjoyed nature and animals.

She was always a daddy's girl and that never changed. Not even when her older half sister Bella came home.

Bella and Avery were as close as they came. Two peas in a pod, peanut butter and jelly. Avery knew that her older sister would be there for her and Bella knew that no matter what they would always be close.

Till they weren't.

Even now, Avery could tell you when that all changed. January 18th 2005 was the day. That was the day when Bella met and became obsessed with the pale boy who was Edward Cullen.
To Bella, Edward was perfect in every way.

But if you asked Avery, she would tell you exactly what she thought about him. He was never right for the girl.

But Bella wouldn't listen to her younger sister and still went and screwed around with him. And when she found out he was a vampire, she barged into Avery's room and muttered those three words. "Edwards a vampire."

And when Bella vanished because of the fact she was being hunted by a vampire, Avery was left in the protection of the Cullens.

She could tolerate them. Carlisle and Esme took her under their wing when Charlie had go to work, leaving the girl alone.

Then she got the call that Bella was in the hospital. Avery immediately assumed the worse as she and her father made their way over and when she saw the Cullen boy, she made sure to threaten him about fifty times.

After that, nothing went back to how it was. Avery and Bella began arguing more, Bella would try to control her younger sister which the younger girl didn't allow.

And that's where our story begins.
