"...If you say so. Anyways, Dad says we should get some pizza on our way home." I turn to him to see a phone in his hand. Expected. "Whatever," Jisoo mutters under her breath. Dad? Are they siblings? "Are you guys siblings?" I ask, not knowing why I did. As a matter of fact, I didn't really care. Or maybe they're dating and it's her future father inlaw they're talking about. Whatever. They stared at me, dumbfounded. Jisoo bursts into laughter unexpectedly and it leaves it me taken aback. She's pretty. Wait what? Ew. She stops laughing almost as soon as she started.
Her eyes are boring into mine, and one of her eyebrows are raised. "Wow..." she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes. What's her problem? I thought, feeling curious. I want to know what she's thinking, but I can't do that without my eyes turning green. Ugh. My powers are so useless. "Are you really asking us if we're siblings?" Jungkook questions, both his eyebrows raised. "You really didn't know? We've been siblings since we were 5. Her mom married my dad." He says, looking at me like I'm the dumbest person on earth.
"Everyone knows that, even the teachers do." Jisoo adds. I turn to look at her, and I can see a sparkle in her eyes. She's clearly amused. "Well sorry for not knowing something I'm not supposed to know in the first place." I said, rolling my eyes. "You're not supposed to know, but when everyone is in your business all the time, you can't help but think everyone does know. Word spreads fast, you know?" Jungkook says through a sigh. I feel kind of bad for him, but then I remember how much he pestered me not too long ago, and I take most of that feeling back almost immediately. I think I showed it in my face though because Jisoo rolls her eyes and scoffs at me.
"You don't have to feel bad for us just because you know our story now, and start being nice to us all of a sudden, because we hate pity." She says with a hard look on her face, and she looks like she's scanning mine to see some sort of reaction. I don't know if she expects me to be flustered or something, but I'm not. In fact I'm far from that. I'm actually just confused. "Why do you think I would pity you?" I ask, my eyebrows furrowed together. "Oh. I don't think you understand." I say. The bell that signals detention is over rings, and I stand up, gathering my things. "I don't bother myself with things like pity and all that stuff. Why? I actually just don't care enough to." I say, walking out of the class.
