When I was 21, I desperately needed a place to live, and a job. I had just gotten out of college and was majorly in debt. I had spent about 2 weeks on the street before I found a $20 bill on the ground and went to get some food. On the way, I bumped into what would end up being the best thing to happen to me.
"Shit! Sorry!" I moved my purple hair out of my face and apologized to the man, who was in a white shirt with tan khakis. He had cute, fluffy hair, and a derpy smile on his face. Did I just call this rando cute?
"It's fine, really. I wasn't looking." He apologized and I shook my head.
"No, no. I wasn't looking where I was going. You would think that living in the street for a while, your instincts would get better." I chuckled and watched his face turn to one of shock and pity. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." I looked down, realizing I just told a cute guy that I didn't even have a house.
"No, no! No one should have to live on the street!" He countered. "You at least have food, right?" I pointed to the $20 bill in my hand. "You can't get anything for that! Here, I'll buy you something." I gave him a shocked look.
"Really? How do I know you won't try to kidnap me or something?" I squinted my eyes. He chuckled, licking his lips.
"Because I don't abduct pretty girls.
