TW- more swearing lol

"So, you ready?" Harrison asked me, as we approached the doors of Tom's trailer. I fiddled with the second-hand phone that Tom bought for me, it wasn't in bad shape, besides a few cracks on the screen.

Harrison and I had become better friends, I even introduced him to my brother (who found us eating Thai food in the bank) and I think they hit it off really well.

"Um, yeah. Yeah, I think so." He nodded and opened the door. "Tommy?" I called out, looking around the trailer which was way bigger than it needed to be.

"Jade, Haz! Hey! You ready for your first day on the job?" He asked, stuffing one of his hands in his pocket and running the other one through his hair.

Kiss him.

WHAT?! NO! HAZ IS RIGHT THERE!!

So?

You're an idiot.

"Hey."

Real smooth.

"So! I'm going to go get your stuff, you can read his schedule and get his lunch." I snapped out of the daze I didn't even know I was in and nodded.

"Ok! So, um, you have to be at stage 4 in about 45 minutes, and after that, you have to go for an interview with Cosmopolitan at 5. Also, for lunch, I ordered you a turkey sub and I know you like them but I also know that you like grilled cheese better, but I haven't had a grilled cheese in so long and that was the last one but if you wanna switch then that's-" My rambling was cut off by Tom's lips on mine.

"What was that for?" I gasped as we pulled apart. He just smirked and kept walking. "Hey! Thomas Stanley Holland!!" I ran after him and we started running after each other past all the trailers.

"No! You weren't supposed to run after me!" Tom exclaimed, me chasing after him. We ran around chasing each other for a while before we were both out of breath and stopped.

"Ahem."

We both looked up to see the Russo brothers staring us down.

Shit.

"Uhm, s-sirs! I'm Jade, I'm Tom's second assistant." I stuck my hand out and they hesitantly shook it one by one.

"Second? You're not allowed to have multiple assistants." Joe slanted his eyes at Tom.

"Tom?" I said, through gritted teeth. He just looked at me with shock and shrugged.

"I'm just messing with you. I know that some actors have an everyday assistant and a movie assistant, and given that Haz is his best friend, I assume you came with the contract?" My mouth gaped, but I managed to nod a very subtle yes.

"Great!" The brothers said goodbye and walked away. I turned to Tom.

"So I was in the contract huh?" I crossed my arms. I wasn't mad, but no harm could come from pretending that I was.

"I mean, no? Technically, I could swap your and Haz's places but I didn't know so please-" I cut him off by guffawing loudly.

"It's fine, Tommy. I don't care that much. No need to swap me and Haz's positions." I reassured him before kissing his cheek. "Now, come on. We need to go to stage 4." I dragged him by the arm and we arrived at the stage a few minutes before he had to go onstage.
