...

In the spiraling stairs that were in the endless darkness, Noren continued down. Only the torch in his hand allowed him to see his next step. He walked for what felt like an eternity when the steps finally stopped, showing a wooden door.

Noren opened the door, showing only darkness that seemed to swallow the light. Noren was still composed as he chanted something, allowing the darkness to dissipate. The surrounding showed boxes of varied sizes, some were jewelry boxes while others looked like a wardrobe. Noren ignored them all and approached a shelf of dusty books.

Noren took out a plain gray book, still covered in spider webs. With a blow, the book looked anew. Noren flipped through the pages, stopping at an envelope.

Noren looked at the envelope for a while before taking it out. He returned the book to the shelf and left the room, up the stairs until he was back to the room he left Venus's bones at.

Noren sat in a chair as he carefully opened the envelope. The envelope was like the autumn leaves, with a crunch with every touch. When the letter was opened, this was what it read:

          To Noren Forance,

If you dug out my bones, after reading this letter, RETURN MY BONES TO WHERE IT BELONG, HINT: MY GRAVE. If you didn't, thank you for respecting my wishes. Either way, I hope you know I miss you too. NOW RETURN MY BONES TO MY GRAVE.

Thank you,

Venus M.

Noren smiled, Venus always knew what kind of person he was, even if she was long dead, she even predicted his actions today.

...

"Mister, I thought I'll never meet you again!" The same little girl showed up in the graveyard, jumping up and down.

Noren was surprised since they had also met just yesterday.

"Why are you here again?" he asked, curious.

"I wanted to ask you something," her big eyes blinked.

          "What is it?"

          "What's your name?"

          "That's it?"

She nodded, "I was in a hurry yesterday so I forgot to ask your name."

Noren chuckled, "It's Noren, Noren Forance."

The little girl smiled widely, showing her small white teeth, "Well, nice to meet you Mr. Forance, my name is Venus, Venus Menderloon."

Noren's eyes widened, and suddenly, he started to laugh. He felt so stupid, how could he forget humans reincarnated? He was happy and sad that his friend was still alive, even if she wasn't the same as before.

Venus looked at Noren, confused. "Mr. Forance, is something funny?"

Noren calmed down a bit and shook his head, "it's nothing, I just realized how dumb I am."

          "Dumb?"

"It's nothing," he smiled, "yeah, nothing, what's important is now we're friends."

"Friends?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.

          "Aren't we?"

Venus smiled, "Yeah, we are! We are now friends!"

          The End.

(Author's Note: At first, the little girl was a boy and was going to leave the story in a cliff hanger where the little girl says her name. In the end, the still like the final version better.)
