New Girl

Chapter 18

I wake up in the morning to the sound of my mothers voice.
"Honey time to get up for school, it's Monday!" I groan in my pillow at the sound of school. I'm so tired. I just want to fall back asleep. My mom walks out of my room as soon as I sit up in my bed. I look over to my phone to see it lighting up. I have a text message! I hope it's from Elliot.
Good morning. I'll see you at school can't wait. Elliot sent that just now. He probably just woke up like I did. I put my phone down back in the charger and head to the bathroom.
After using the bathroom and brushing my teeth I'm standing in front of my closet now. What to wear what to wear...

I'm walking into school when I see everyone looking at me. Wow who is she? She's really cute! Oh my gosh I love that dress! I was wearing a bright blue dress with flowers on it, with spaghetti straps for the shoulders. I had some little black flats on while I let my hair flow down my sides. Don't ask me why I have a dress on today;I just couldn't find anything else to wear.

When I get inside my biology room nobody is there. I'm the only one in there other then the teacher.
"Well good morning..." My teacher gave me a once over and then looked shocked. "Good morning Alex! I'm sorry I didn't recognize you." I giggled a little at her comment.
"Good morning to you too." I say as I'm walking over to my seat. I set my book bag down and took my notebook out. I start drawing a flower in it when I hear someone walking in. It's Elliot!
"Hello Alexis."
"Hello Elliot." I say as I get up to give him a hug. As we break away he looks me up and down and smiles.
"You look beautiful." He says in the sweetest voice. "As always of course." He adds. We both turn to walk over to our seats as we hear Sarah come in.
"Oh Alex! Your dress is gorgeous." I grab Elliot's hand because I'm scared and I don't know what she is going to do. "I love your dress. Where did you get it?" She says but then her eyes drift down to our attached hands. "Oh. Ohhh, are you two a thing now?"
"Yes." We both say with a smile and look into each other's eyes.
"For how long?" She says in a death voice.
"Oh just since, you know that one day you kid napped me. But who's counting right?" I say back to her.
"Well I don't think it will last long. I told you I will ruin your life and that's exactly what I'm going to do." She stomps off to her seat in the back of the room.
Elliot and I sit back down in our seats while waiting for the teacher to return.
"Well that was..." Elliot says to me.
"Yeah oh yeah. That was umm interesting." I say back to him.
"Okay class." The teacher comes back in when everyone else starts taking there seat. "You have had more then enough time to finish your project so I would like to see them." Elliot and I finished ours over the weekend. It might of took awhile because we kept getting distracted but we finished it.

Fifty agonizing minutes later the bell rung. Finally! Now we can go to our next class and I don't have to worry about Sarah giving me her death glare.

During lunch time I was sitting with Elliot when Sarah came over. She looks like she has something to say to one of us. I read her mind;she is going to try to get Elliot to hangout with her.
"Well hello you two. Alex, like I said earlier your dress is so pretty. Where in the world did you get it?" Sarah says as she is sitting down.
"Uhh I don't know maybe Khols?" I say back to her.
"Lovely, I shop there all the time!" She says back to me. Ugh as if I would ever wear that hideous thing. It's as ugly as the wicked witch of the west. Actually, she kind of does look like the wicked witch of the west. I only have one word for all that. Wow. I will have to tell Elliot about it later. But then again he wont know that I can read minds. Maybe I should tell him that I can. I mean we are dating so maybe I should tell him. That's something girlfriends tell their boyfriends right? Maybe I'll tell him later.
"Hello?" I hear Elliot's sweet voice in my ear. "Earth to Alex?"
"Oh, hi. Sorry I was just thinking. I have to talk to you later." I look around to see that Sarah has left our table. Then I turn back to Elliot and see the alarmed look in his eyes. He looks like he is freaking out about what I have to tell him. "Oh no it's nothing bad at all." I see the relief in his eyes. "I just have to tell you something that only a couple people in my life know about."
"Oh okay sounds good. So you want to hangout later then?"
"That would be great. You want to come over to my house?"
"Awesome." As soon as he says that the bell rings which indicates us it is time for our next class.
