Chapter 20

I wake up in the morning on my right side. My mom immediately comes in to wake me up. I want to go back to sleep so bad. I miss my sleep.
"Good morning! It's Tuesday! Second day of the week!" My mom says.
"Yeah I know!" My mom soon leaves my room so I can get ready. I walk over to wear my shorts are and pull a pair of jean shorts out. I pull them on and walk over to get a black and white flowered tank top. It was supposed to be really hot today. Once I got all dressed I walked to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, I brush my hair back and pull it in a pony tail. Then I make a little hole at the top and pull my hair through it; so there is a nice cool little bump. I brush my teeth and then head downstairs.
"Do you want any breakfast this morning honey?" My mom said to me once I walked into the kitchen to where my book bag is.
"No I am okay. I am going to head to school now. Oh and Elliot will probably come over later."
"That's fine, as long as you get your work done." My mom says back to me.
"Of course we will. Okay bye Mom, love you." I walk out the garage door and head to my car.

I got to school and the parking lot is filled with more cars then it usually is around this time. I turn the engine off and head around my car to grab my book bag.
"Good morning Alex!" Sarah says to me as I was walking into the building. She comes up to my side and wraps her arm through mine.
"Uhh good morning I guess. What are you doing?" I look down at are arms that are intertwined together.
"Oh just walking with you to biology."
"That's very kind of you." I look around and see Elliot staring at us. I smile in his direction and he gives me a smile back. "I have to go." I say to Sarah as I take my arm out of where it was. I walk over to Elliot. "Hi."
"Hi. What were you doing with Sarah?" He says back to me.
"Oh I was just walking into the school and she came and put her arm through mine. I didn't know how to take it away without being mean." I start walking towards the biology room and Elliot follows me.
He grabs my arm and turns me around. "What do you mean you didn't want to be mean? She has been mean to you since the first day!" He practically screams at me. I start walking again without answering him and he follows me again. We make it to the room without talking anymore and I head to our seats. Once we are both seated I look over to Elliot. He was staring at me already.
"Look, I know she has been mean to me. But look at me." I gesture towards myself. "Do I look like someone who wants to start something she knows she can't win?" I ask him. "Sarah knows she has kinda gotten her way with me. She knows I am kinda weak. I just didn't want anything to happen this morning." I turn my gaze towards the teacher as she walks in.
I can't focus on any of this. I don't like it. I can't focus on school anymore.

At the end of the day Elliot doesn't meet me by my locker like he usually does. I wonder where he is? I start walking out of the school to go home. My feet hit the pavement of the parking lot and that's when I hear Elliot and Sarah talking. Elliot looks furious. He shouldn't be doing this, something could happen. I start walking over to them as I hear there conversation.
"Look Sarah. I don't know who the heck you think you are but you need to stay away from Alexis. Stop trying to bully her to make her feel bad. You are just jealous because Alexis and I are dating and the two of us aren't." He motioned between the two of them. She looks shocked. Why does she looked shocked? We all know she likes him.
"Pfft. I know the two of us aren't dating and I am very well aware that you two are. No, I will not stop bullying her. In fact, since we had this little chat." She looks up to me and gives me a evil smile. "I think things are going to get worse." Two guys come up to me. One covers my mouth and the other just starts dragging me away. I start trying to get out of there grasp and they soon let go.
"Who do you think you are?!?!" I shout at them.
"Look we are just Elliot's friends and we are trying to help you so you wouldn't get hurt." One of them says.
"How would I have gotten hurt?" I ask them while folding my arms across my chest. They look up and point at two big brauly guys. Ohhhhh. Now I understand.
"By them. They looked like they were going to come and take you somewhere. Plus I over heard Sarah talking to them at lunch saying how she is going to pull Elliot aside to talk to her, while they come and take you." The second guy says to me.
"Ooookaaaayyyy. Well thanks for that I guess. I better be going." I start walking to my car. I look up and see that Elliot is standing against my car waiting for me. I walk up to him and give him a brief hug.
"Why were you talking to them?" He asks as he points towards his friends.
"I will tell you at my house. Come on lets go."
