With his identity a secret again thanks to the help of Nick Fury and Dr Strange, everything almost went back to basics for Peter Parker and his alter Ego but things instantly go crazy when earth was invaded by an army of symbiotes lead by there god and creator knull who planned to use the earth as an incubator for a new breed of symbiotes and so he kidnapped agent venom and forcefully unbonded them and proceeded to use the symbiote to forcefully reproduce a breed of newborn symbiotes all over the world possessing everyone including most of Spider-Man's allies and enemies.
One of the newborns attempted to forcefully bond itself to Peter but due to his history with symbiotes, Peter instead convinced the newborn to work with him in taking down knull, while bonded to the newborn symbiote, Peter gets symbiote abilities that are very similar to symbiote serial killer carnage such as being able to shapeshift his hands into weapons like blades and spikes mace balls and the ability to absorb other symbiotes into itself.
Eventually after knull is defeated by Eddie Brock, all the Symbiotes including the one Peter is bonded to are killed by an anti Symbiote bomb, upon its death Peter gives the newborn symbiote a name: Ben
