Originally when I started doing my own Spider-Man stories, I initially gave my version of Peter Parker a red and Black Costume, however I later decided to go with a more traditional Spider-Man look because I got bored of the red and black look but I think the explanation I came up with was that this was the suit that He wore as he needed to be his own Spider-Man but as the stories went on he would transition over to the standard Spider-Man look because like I said I eventually grew bored of it and switched over to the main Suit he wears in the stories also don't ask about the red lines on the black parts of the suit cause I don't know what purpose they serve.
