1
Mother of witches,
Mother of magic and night,
The three faced woman,
The woman who bears a torch and sword.
2
The mother who held his hand,
The mother who didn't.
There is a difference between the two--
While one kept secrets,
The other told him every bit.
3
The mother who sang him to sleep,
The mother who didn't.
The difference between the two,
One might call odd
One might call crazy
One might call weird.
4
While one is mortal,
The other is immortal.
The loving arms of the goddess Hekate,
The cold arms of a woman who shows no love.
The loving voice who sings him to sleep,
The voice that should be loving, but spouts hatred.
5
The one who listens,
The one who won't.
The difference between the two?
One mother is not a mother by blood,
One mother is a mother by choice,
The mother who wanted a son.
She is Hekate, the goddess with open arms.
6
The mother of witches,
The mother who watches,
Keeper of the hounds.
The woman who bears a torch in one hand,
Sword in the other.
Protector of the children she has found.
