I sighed, somewhat slamming my forehead on my desk. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Polly, I was just about to ask you to help me with my magic show but you look so...worn out. Is everything okay?" Trucy had asked. I then sat up. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just worn out, Lu, y'know." I replied. She just stared at me in confusion.
I should back up.
My name is Apollo Justice. I recently adopted a kid who had been involved in a case my boss, Phoenix Wright was involved with. I don't know much about the case, and my now daughter, Lucy, won't tell me anything. I get it, though. If she's not ready, it's understandable.
Anyway, I caught Trucy up to speed. She just nodded. "Ohhh, hey! I have an idea! Maybe if you get super busy, I could babysit? Polly, you don't have to pay me." I shook my head. "I'm fine." I got to work on a case when my coworker, Athena Cykes walked in, Lucy in arms. "I believe this one belongs to you?" I looked up in confusion. "Lucy, what are you doing here?" She giggled. "Papa, I wanted to see you!" I smiled. "Honey, I gotta work right now. Maybe after we can play at the park." A moment of silence. "Oh. Okay!" She responded. I smiled. "Polly can I watch her? Pleaaaase?" Trucy asked. "Okay, yeah. I guess so." She smiled in return as I got back to work on my case.
