Athena Cykes

It had been 30 minutes since Apollo's daughter, Lucy, had been into the office. However she had left with Trucy as Lucy had begged him to let her go with, in her words, "magic lady Trucy" to Gourd Lake park. Right now I was on my way back from a coffee run. We took a moment to get all coffee sorted out before anything else. We worked in silence after that. Up until Prosecutor Gavin came in, but I wasn't really sure what happened because he needed to talk to Apollo. I kept clicking a pen over and over as it was just silence. Up until the phone rang. Which I answered. "Wright Anything Agency, Athena Cykes at your service!" I had said without hesitation. "Oh, hey, someone answered! Um...yeah. I was calling about the fact I was framed...my name's Maya Fey." I blinked a few times. That name sounded familiar, but from where? And then it hit me.

Maya Fey had been a client before, every time Mr. Wright defended her. The two were close apparently, but I had no right to speak on it.

Instead of deciding to try and do this myself, I just held the phone in Mr. Wright's direction and said "This is for you." To which he took it, said hello and then was silent for about 3 minutes before a "Maya, how do you end up in this much trouble all the time?" I had to hold back a laugh. "I cant do it this time, Maya. I'm going out of town this weekend." He then said. "I'm sure one of the other two attorneys would be more than glad to defend you." I had never heard him deny a client to hand off to either me or Apollo, although I'm sure he's done it in the past... today was the day I heard it. "Where was the crime scene?" He had then asked. She apparently said something, to which Mr. Wright got right out of his chair. "I'll be back, just out the door." He told me. Apollo conveniently walked back in. "Oh good, this is awkward now. But Apollo, I just got a call from someone who wants you ti defend them. This...this murder happened at Gourd Lake park. Now, before you freak ou-" He almost finished his sentence before, you know, Apollo naturally was freaking out. "WHAT!? Are Trucy and Lu okay? Oh my god I gotta go-" He spun around to go towards the door. "Apollo, before you leave, I was going to call Trucy to make sure they're okay, but you can do that if you'd like." Mr. Wright had told him. "Yeah, I'll do that. I'll text later." He then left in a rush, to which Prosecutor Gavin, who's presence was still randomly there just decided to leave.

About ten seconds after, I spoke up. "Mr. Wright, I have to go make sure Apollo's okay!" I exclaimed. He just sighed. "I'm sorry, be back though!" I exclaimed. "Alright, alright. I go on ahead." I ran out the door of the office to the stairs, fell down some of them, but kept running nonetheless. I wasn't gonna stop until I made it to Gourd Lake.

The two were fine, apparently they had been in the bathroom, not seeing any of it. But the victim was someone else Mr. Wright apparently knew. A woman by the name Maggey Byrde.

a/n - i'm not the biggest fan of Maggey ok. i could only think of Oldbag and Larry other than her, and i want to include them in this (without either of them dying) oldbag because...the ace attorney stageplays actually made me somewhat enjoy her character, she was actually really funny in those (plus, yknow, edgeworth's newly formed sixth sense), and larry's...larry. i can't put it any other way tbh
