Hanahaki is a very strange fictitious disease that very few people know or suffer from, this disease is caused by unrequited love where the flowers are born from your lungs and damage you internally, I wish both you and wukong had known about it.
This happens when you turn 15 years old and you are already in high school, you were together with your friends and classmates Lotus and Wang brought their desks close to yours to talk animatedly about everything they were doing in the holidays, even knowing that you were part of them, you joined them or just listened while you drew quietly on a sheet of your notebook waiting for the teacher to start the class.
You heard a knock on the classroom door and the teacher calling for a student to open the door for him as he checked his notes for class, but you didn't think anything of it as you continued to absentmindedly draw one of your favourite characters from the series you and Lotus had been watching together lately, until the teacher called everyone's attention.
-All right, children, welcome this year's new students, please treat them with respect and do your best to make them feel comfortable, okay? -said the teacher as he adjusted his glasses.
Everyone let out a vague "yes sir" as the new students took their seats, Lotus and Wang left your side and settled properly to make room for the new students, you didn't mind the two of them and just kept drawing until someone bumped into your desk causing you to move and leave a thick dark scratch on the face of your doodle, you were about to shout at the person to be more careful if you didn't want to be beaten up by your army.
But now you regret having seen it.
They had long shiny brown hair, deep green eyes protected by glass lenses and with scales of the same colour scattered across their cheeks and hands with sharp claws, when your eyes met theirs you felt as if your heart was tingling and your cheeks began to warm and turn a light pink.
-You...- you started to say as your brain switched back on, but you couldn't continue when their nervous, youthful voice cut you off.
-O-oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your drawing, really- they stammered as they began to quickly search for something in their bag.
When they found it they held out a cat shaped eraser, you tried to hold back a giggle when you saw it as well as them blush and heard their little curse under their breath.
-I-it's my little sister's, b-but you can use it- they said scratching the back of their neck with their free hand.
-Oh... sure, thanks you... -You stretched out the word waiting for them to give their name while you looked anywhere but their green eyes like wildlife.
-Oh, my name is Lu liao, I'm a dragon hybrid eeeh, their/them, i-if it's no trouble of course, it's a pleasure to meet you-they said while smiling and baring their fangs.
