Third person pov

They all halted and waited in a forest via Shikamaru's orders, I see so we are waiting for updates on what is currently happening on the battlefield, Menma thinks, understanding a part of Shikamaru's strategy.

Naruto on the other hand....

"C'mon how long are we gonna wait like this." He said growing impatient on the wait, Shikamaru rolled his eyes and said.
"Use your head you can't just throw an ambush together you gotta set it up, and you gotta do reconicense-which is what Neji, Shino, and Hinata are doing for us right now."

"They're doing what!?"

Somewhere else in the forest the other team are scouting potential traps and the enemy's locations, Neji noticed Shino's fly and immediately understood.

"So you have found them...BYAKUGAN!" Using Shino's information he one by one looked at the location of the sand siblings.

The flys took the information to Shino, "understood three separate battlezones." He says then sends the bugs to inform Shikamaru's team

Shikamaru immediately stands up after seeing the flys heading toward they're direction, he briefly remembers about the bag Shino gave him.

"Alright the information has arrived."

Naruto pumped his fists in the air excitedly. "Alright I was started to cramp up." Menma sends him a worried look to which Naruto explained to it being a figure of speech.

Shikamaru reads the message and gets a little worried, "well that's a drag the battle's already begun, alright Kiba and Choji take to the west forest, Ino and I will take the hills in the north east, Naruto,Menma, and Lee take the northwest of the forest got that, let's commence operation return the favour."

They all answer a chorus of yes and you got it, "Finally some action!"

"Move out!" Shikamaru orders and they all take to it.

Menma,Lee, and Naruto head towards where Gaara is predicted to be. After arriving on the spot we find it empty.

"They're not here." Naruto says worried.

"Let's look up ahead." Menma says reassuring him. They both nod at him and continue they're pursuit, somewhere else they could hear the sounds of the otherd fighting they're on battles.

A little more further Menma tenses up which doesn't go unnoticed by Lee.

"Menma what is it?" He asks which gains Naruto's attention. "You ok Menma." The shinobi asks.

"I...can hear the sound of sand." I say looking up. "Look" they both look up and see Gaara spinning around a guy.

"It's Gaara!" Naruto exclaims, Lee furrowed his eyebrows "do we even have a chance to return the favour."

As they approach closer the ground stars shaking so they stop moving to regain balance, "w-what is this?" Lee asks refering to the blue chakra that forms into water Dragons.

I gasp realizing what's about to happen.
"We must hurry sand gets heavier with water, Naruto you said that Gaara has and armour of sand that uses as an outer shell right?" Menma says recalling Naruto's tales.

They both gasp and started moving faster, Naruto screamed his name as Gaara could be seen falling down from the height.

Gaara who was falling cursed, he couldn't move, god this was going to hurt, he braces himself for impact but nothing came.

Opening his eyes he saw....a leaf shinobi? No this one wasn't wearing a leaf headband, said person caught him in time and was carrying him gentlyas they landed on the floor.
