1891 - December
Winter had truly arrived in the Scottish Highlands. The air was frosty with everything covered in a powdering of snow. With winter came another round of Quidditch games meaning Sebastian was drawn away by Imelda Reyes' tough trainings. You didn't mind, it provided you a good opportunity to get out of the castle and immerse yourself within the game to learn more about it by watching the training from the stands. It also helped that a certain someone was always catching your eye while he flew around on his broom whacking the bludger with his bat.
It was at a training one week out from the game against Ravenclaw that the team's second year Seeker lost control of their broom in the stands and ended up with a nasty concussion when they flew into a wooden beam. Matron Blainey drew the line and said the seeker wouldn't be able to play for the rest of the season because 'recovery from a head knock this bad will take until summer and that's being generous'.
The Slytherin team were therefore without a Seeker as the second year was the only one to try out. As the team were trying to figure out what to do, you can see Imelda glance up at you in the stands and then see the epiphany light up her face. Her and Sebastian both fly up to you.
"We need a Seeker. I know you fly fast - you beat all my time trials last year and surely you have picked up some stuff when you have been out here watching?" Imelda says with desperation.
"Look I'm happy to give it a go..." you start saying then Imelda interrupts.
"Great! Get your broom and get dressed. You're our new seeker!" You quickly look at Sebastian. He is smiling.
"Don't worry. My charge will be protected with my bludgering skills." You laugh at his joke while you walk down the stands to the change rooms.
The weekend comes along quicker than you would have liked and the game has created a lot of interest within the students and faculty members. The students interested mostly in the fact that Hogwarts' hottest new couple are now on the same Quidditch team; the faculty more so interested to see if you fly your broom as well as you handle your magical abilities.
Imelda has a ritual of a pre-game pep talk in the change rooms before any game. You tried your best to pay attention but you were incredibly nervous. Sebastian seemed to notice this and put his hand on your back in an effort to calm you down.
Once Imelda's pep talk was done, you and Sebastian turn to each other. He puts his hands on your shoulders.
"Hey. You're going to be amazing. Remember all those times in the summer holidays that we chased the snitch down. You always beat me to it so I just know you're going to win the game for us." You raise an eyebrow at him.
"Bold claim. Would you like to put some galleons on that?" He laughs at you.
"Now if I did that I'd be told off for match fixing! But I think it's a very safe bet because I know you." He beams down at you. "Plus, you have your lucky snidget pendant on. It's very fitting for a Seeker." You peer down at the pendant hanging off your neck.
"Very true." You say and smile back up at him. Interrupted by Imelda.
"Oi lovebirds. It's time to take the pitch." You both turn and make your way out towards the chanting of the crowd. Sebastian turns his head to you.
"Ready?" He says with a smile.
"Ready as I'll ever be." You return while looking in his eyes.

With the wintery conditions, visibility was being a bit of an issue for players and spectators alike. The commentator was trying their best to make out who on earth had the Quaffle, they certainly couldn't tell if the Seekers had made any effort in finding the snitch. It was a miracle that Kogawa could even spot any fouls being made.
Imelda and the Chasers had managed to get 40 points ahead of Ravenclaw when you see a shimmer out the side of your eye. You follow it with speed. Tracking it down into the stands, you fly with precision to avoid any injuries like the last seeker received.
The snitch flew back up into the air and you followed it, narrowly missing a bludger. You don't lose your focus on the snitch, but you do hear Sebastian returning the bludger back to Ravenclaw.
It is in your reach. You reach out and grab the snitch with your hand. It is then you hear the roar of the crowd and the commentator say:
"Slytherin Wins! The new seeker has caught the snitch!"
You do a bit of a victory lap around the pitch, you can see your friends Poppy and Natty cheering for you along with the hoards of Slytherin students. You then see your team landed on the ground with Sebastian beaming up at you. You make your way down to celebrate the win, dismounting your broom. The first one to hug you is Imelda, much to your surprise as she never really seemed to be the hugging type.
"I knew I was right about you! I'm so happy you're in our team now!" She said while jumping up and down with glee. The rest of the team come up to give you a celebratory hug one by one, with the one that mattered most coming last. Sebastian wraps his arms around you and pulls you up swinging you around in a circle while saying:
"See I told you!" and you just can't wipe the smile off your face.
