From Nketa I go straight home. I can not wait to get my car so that I don't have to catch so many taxis when visiting my friend. At least when I have a car I won't have to go around town just to see Sharon.

I get to Newtown West around three pm and pass by the shops buying myself a pack of pads. Being a girl sucks sometimes. How come we get our periods, the period pains, and also carry the babies? I feel like it's not fair - man should get something too.

'Can you buy me Netone airtime on your way back home?' - Tawana.

'I don't want to.'

'Please! I am almost out of my WhatsApp bundles.'- Tawana.

'I am almost home but I will go back to the shops and you owe me for this.'

It's very hot but I would do anything for my brother and of course, he will pay for making me walk in the sun.

"Anesu!" someone with an umbrella walks with me.

"Why are you everywhere, Jacob?"

He answers, "I can sense you five kilometers away, that's why."

"What do you want today?"

"Nothing, I figured you need an umbrella," he retorts. I do need it but of course, I won't admit it. I let him walk me to the shops and back home.

"Where do you stay?" I ask Jacob.

"A couple of houses away from your house."

"In other ways, you see me when passing by your house then you follow me?" I ask and he laughs.

"True."

"That's weird, don't you have things to do? School maybe?" I question.

"I waiting for my advanced-level results."

Wait! Didn't he say he is seventeen years old? "You are seventeen yet in your advanced level final year?"

"I am one of those people who went straight to grade one and didn't do Early Childhood Education (ECD)."

"Oh...good for you, thank you for walking me home. You can go back now," I tell him.

"Will I see you again?"

I shake my head, "No, I am probably going to block your messages too."

"Why? I didn't do anything."

"You are very annoying and you won't stop bothering me," I tell him.

"Maybe it's because I like you."

"I don't like you so stop bothering me," I fold my arms and lean onto the closed gate. I am surprised my brothers haven't come out to cause commotion yet.

"You hardly know me so it's understandable for you not to like me. But I assure you one thing - I am nicer once you get to know me."

I lightly shake my head, "You don't take no for an answer, don't you?"

"I do but come on do you expect me to give up on you? Have you seen how gorgeous you are?"

I smile, "You are a smooth talker but I am currently going through something and I am not looking for a boyfriend."

"I understand but can I continue messaging you? You don't have to reply if you don't want to."

"Okay." I am blocking him anyways.

"Thank you and I will probably still follow you when I see you walking to the shops."

"Okay and go before my brothers see you," I tell him and he waves at me before leaving. That is one stubborn boy.
