Alaina Call was no child. She was a werewolf, a married, pregnant one at that. She lived in a small town called Forks, Washington, with her grandparents, who were more like her parents than they ever was.

In Forks, there were territory's separating the werewolves and Cullens, who were vampires.  Werewolves hated the bloodsuckers, as they called them, but when a time had gotten rough, they did all have to come together, only to be split back apart when a certain wedding invitation came out for Bella Swan, the human everyone loved, and Edward Cullen, a vampire who loved her.

Jacob Black, the one who loved Bella, didn't take this news lightly, in fact, he had ran off into the woods, in wolf form. His dad, Billy, called after him, but he couldn't chase after a wolf, especially not in a wheelchair on a rainy day.

"Hey, baby." Embry kissed Alaina's cheek. "You got something in the mail." He waved a white invitation in her face.

Alaina grabbed the invitation, which read:

Isabella Marie Swan
And
Edward Anthony Mason Cullen

Together with their families request the honor of your presence at the celebration of their marriage

Saturday, the thirteenth of August
Two thousand and eleven
Five O'clock in the evening

"Are we going?" Embry asked.

"Well, I am." Alaina said. "You don't have to if you don't want to. But you literally have a night to think about it."

"A wedding full of vampires." Embry sat down. "That's a lot to think about."

"You do that, while I go get some food." Alaina stood, pushing down on his knee to stand.

"Don't worry," Emily said, "I made toast, eggs, and muffins."

"That sounds good." She placed her hand on her belly. She now felt heavy as if the baby was just going to fall right out, which soon it would, closer than she thought. "Has anyone heard from Jacob?" She asked, taking a bite of a toast.

"Quil went off to look for him." Said Embry. "His trail has gone as far as Canada."

"You know, you can phase if you want." Alaina said. "I don't want to stop you."

"I will phase, when you do." Embry said.

By the morning, Alaina got ready in a velvet purple silk dress, which Alice had given her. Emmet had to pick her up from her house, as she wasn't supposed to be driving.

Alaina walked into the Cullens house, into the room with Alice and Rosalie, who was getting Bella dressed.

"Hey!" Alice hugged Alaina.

"Another wedding." Rosalie smiled. She loved weddings. She loved doing hair for weddings, which she had done at Alaina's and now Bella's.

"Alice? Bella?" Said Bella's mom, Renée Dwyer. Alaina hadn't seen her since she was seven-years-old, playing outside with Bella.

"In here, Mom." Bella said.

"Oh." Renée clanked her heels inside the room. Renée's hair was done cutely behind her head, as she also wore a velvet purple dress. "Oh, my gosh! You're so beautiful. Oh, honey. Crap! My mascara." She wiped her tears.
