"Jillian get up! It's past noon!"

"Yea? It's Sunday!"

The blinds were thrown open and Jill ducked her head under her pillow as the bright outside light crept into her room. She could already tell by the temperature of her room that the day was going to be hot as hell, and she was prepared to sit in the basement of her house all day to avoid the worst of the heat.

Ryan grabbed the pillow and took it from her and she glared at him before pulling her head under the hot covers. He hit her with her pillow. "Mall? I'll pay today. Anything to get away from this house and it's never working air conditioning."

She pulled herself out from under her covers. "Ten minutes," she grumbled. He smiled and practically danced out of her room, pillow still intact.

She rolled her eyes and repeated the same routine as she had two days before, just slower and she quickly showered before meeting him downstairs. There was a note of the kitchen counter from her father saying that he had gone to the store for some groceries and would be back later. Jill scribbled a note on the same piece of paper so he knew where Ryan and she had run off to. She met Ryan at his car, where he had been leaning against it staring at the baseball fields across the street.

"Does anyone even use those?" He asked.

"I don't know and don't really care," they both climbed into the car and climbed into the car.

"Jeez, you're in a mood."

"You dragged me out of bed on a hot ass Sunday in the middle of summer break. I'm not sure how you want me to react."

"I told you I'd pay, I thought you'd want to come."

"You have friends that could come right?" She smirked as he shook his head.

"Yeah I do, but they work, remember?"

He drove off and they made it inside the mall quickly. Jill didn't think it was possible but somehow there were less people at the mall than the day before. It was much easier to push their way through the crowds with this many people.

"Scoops Ahoy first," Jill told Ryan. He rolled his eyes.

"At least pick a good flavor this time."

They were miraculously one of the only people in the ice cream shop. There were a few families in the booths and one person in line. That was surprising seeing that it was Sunday, when there were usually the most people at the mall.

"I'mma go shit," Ryan told her.

"Gross," she told him.

"It's a human thing to have to shit."

"That doesn't mean you have to tell me that you're going to."

"Just get me a Rocky Road cone."

"And you say I pick shit flavors."

He waved her off and she made her way to the line. The group in front of her quickly left and she was up to order.

"Ahoy! Hope you're having a nice day. I'm Steve Harrington, captain of this ship. What can I get for you?"

Jill looked at him with a amused expression on her face. She couldn't tell how serious he was being and was trying not to laugh. "Uhmm.." she laughed. "Two cones, one with rocky road and one with espresso chip."

"Coming right up, madam," he told her with a smile. She saw Robin in the back room watching Steve embarrass himself. Jill smiled and gave her a small wave that Robin returned  before looking at Steve and shaking her head. Jill laughed and Robin pulled out a board with the words 'you rule' on one side and 'you suck' on the other. There wasn't a single mark on the 'you rule' side and there were eight on the other. Robin added a ninth tally mark to the 'you suck' side as Steve handed Jill her ice creams and she gave him money in turn.
