When Mordred walked into the New York Sanctum she was surprised as well as happy to see her brother standing in the center of the foyer like he had just walked in a few seconds before her himself "Stephen!"  she says softly with a surprised tone Stephen turns and smiles at her and she rushes over to him then hugs him gently and he hugs her back combing his fingers through her hair softly he moves slightly and she says into his chest as the cloak hugs her as well "just a few more minutes"  he chuckles then says with a smile "we've got all the time in the world"  she slaps his chest lightly and he laughs she lets him go he looks into her eyes and says "you're staying here!"  she nods he smiles then kisses her forehead before creating a portal and walking through it "I love you Stephen"  she says softly "I love you too Stephanya"  he replies before the portal closes she chuckles softly shaking her head with a smile...."hey Cap you've got company comin"  Steve hears Mordred say through his com "where are you!?"  he asks "New York Sanctum Stephen put me in a corner now I have to stay here!"  she replies he chuckles then he hears a familiar male voice say into his com "hey, Cap, you read me? Cap it's Sam can you hear me? on your left"  he turns and sees something that looks like a sparkler flicker then become a globe of light then some very familiar silhouettes walk through it two of who he knew had disappeared 5 years ago Sam flies through the same what he assumed is some kind of portal a few seconds after them more bright white circles appear like polka dots in the air all over as more people enter the battlefield including Mordred's brother "company came"  Steve tells Mordred through his com "good, you all be careful out there!"  Mordred replies "yes ma'am!"  he says she chuckles then her com turns off.... it took Mordred awhile to realize that the Stephen she saw was a apparition almost as though her brother wanted her to know he was ok it appeared when she felt him "come back to life" just like everyone/thing else who/that went missing 5 years ago she did find it a little odd that he was there to begin with but at the time didn't question it because she was happy to see him but it was a little weird since he "disappeared" off planet not on it.... Bruce of course worried about Mordred for he had no idea where she went but he was glad she wasn't a part of the war he was now fighting for who knows what would have happened to her or how she would take seeing his scarred body.... Stephen watches as a portal opens up next to him when Thanos' ship starts shooting missiles down at the people below "I thought I told you to stay put!"  he says when he sees his sister walk through it "are you kidding me!?! like I ever listen to you! besides time outs usually only last a few minutes not hours!"  Mordred replies he chuckles shaking his head she along with the other Sorcerers create large Tao Mandalas with what little magic she has above her and Stephen.... the Sorcerers including Wong create one above themselves and as many people as their Tao Mandalas could reach.... then they hear Pepper say through the com "uh, is anyone else seeing this?"  they turn and see water start to flow into the battlefield "stay with me!"  Stephen orders Mordred nods and they work together to stop the wave of water from creating a flood and that became their main focus especially after Captain Marvel destroys Thanos' ship and it falls into the lake which creates a bigger problem for them "oh, that was helpful!"  Mordred says with a sarcastic tone Stephen chuckles a minute or so later a wave of air heads their way and pushes the water back into the lake Stephen turns his head and looks at Tony then slowly closes his hand so that his pointer finger was the only one up as a signal of some sort that only the two of them understood "oh shit!"  Mordred whispers when she sees the power of the stones flow through Tony Stephen chuckles softly then sees the sadness in her eyes "he's not strong enough! he won't survive!"  she whispers softly and he begins to understand what made her so sad he wraps his free hand around her body and their magic becomes stronger pushing the water the rest of the way back into the lake stopping the flood which meant they could finally lower their arms just then Tony snaps his fingers and the aliens everyone else were fighting turn to dust Thanos is the last one to "leave" "I guess he now knows what it's like to gain so much just to lose it all in the snap of someone's fingers!"  Mordred whispers Stephen hugs her tightly to him and much to her surprise she seemed to have no more tears to shed or perhaps too many that refused to flow Mordred leaves her brothers embrace then walks over to Tony and closes his eyes gently with her fingers then hugs Pepper who cries into her shoulder.... a few days later they have Tony's funeral at the Stark home and a few days after that Steve and Mordred take the stones back to the timeline they were "stolen" from "we'll "split the bill".... I want to at least give the Canary back the Time Stone I don't really owe her anything but she became someone important in my brothers life so....!"  Mordred tells Steve who looks at her oddly when she speaks of a canary as though it was a person and after a small pause she says "besides doing it this way means there'll be at least one person who returns so they know they've succeeded.... you go find that woman you love and this time keep her for as long as possible!"  he chuckles softly then hugs her "mind you he's not happy about my decision either"  she says nodding her head at Bruce as she lets him go he laughs then they walk over to where Bruce, Sam and Bucky stand Bruce looks at the woman he loves with sad eyes then opens the suitcase that has the stones in it and says "remember.... you have to return the stones...."  Mordred says "from whence they came or we'll strike up some nasty voodoo yes Robert we know!"  Sam, Bucky and Steve chuckle Steve takes a few stones out of the suitcase then hands them to Mordred then he takes the rest "you know, I tried when I had the gauntlet, the stones...."  Bruce starts "it just wasn't meant to be you Robert so don't tear yourself apart for something that wasn't your fault"  Mordred says softly as she slides her small delicate hand over his large calloused ones he looks at her and she softly kisses his lips then walks over to the podium and Steve follows her though he stops and talks to Bucky first "don't do anything stupid till I get back"  Steve says Bucky smiles then shakes his head with a small chuckle and replies "how can I? you're taking all the stupid with you"  Mordred acts offended as she says with a playful tone "hey!"  the guys chuckle then Bucky hugs Steve and winks at Mordred from over his best friends shoulder she sticks her tongue out at him and he chuckles then lets Steve go and takes a step back then says "gonna miss you, buddy"  Steve replies "it's gonna be okay, Buck"  Bucky forces a smile then Steve walks onto the podium and stands next to Mordred who says "I resent that!"  he chuckles then replies with a smile "I bet you do!"  she chuckles as the machine whirs to life and they press the button that makes their time suits appear over their clothed bodies at first Steve wasn't sure he liked the idea of her going with him but now he was "ok" with it after all she made it easier and helped him calm his nerves not to mention with her taking half the "treasure" it meant he got a little more time with the woman his heart misses very much "you two ready?"  Bruce asks though his eyes never leave Mordred Steve and Mordred nod "all right, we'll meet you both back here, okay?"  Bruce says "you bet"  Steve replies as his and Mordred's helmets cover their heads as The Quantum Tunnel powers on and Bruce counts down hoping against all hope Mordred returns to him especially since she kissed him then never said anything after that.... at least to him....
