Glorified Problems

Mordred end up helping the Ross' out of the crashed helicopter as Hulk and Abomination fight seeing Mordred save the helpless gave Bruce strength he didn't even know he had all the Hulk wanted to do was go to her and protect her from everything that swore to harm her and he fought to do just that what he didn't realize was that the Abomination wouldn't hurt her for she was his trophy the thing that was far too pretty to look at to be hurt in anyway scars just might ruin her or make her even prettier the Abomination smirks at that thought then says to Hulk as he pushes him up against the now broken wall "you don't deserve this power now watch her die"  the Hulk becomes beyond furious at those words and he fights back with everything he has Bruce can almost imagine Mordred telling him "if you had worked together you'd be stronger" and he.... for the moment sees that those words were right not only that but if he hadn't taken the "cure" he wouldn't be so weak.... Mordred turns when she hears Hulk scream in pain and she calls out with a worried tone "Hulk!"  hearing her voice once again gave Hulk the strength he needed to push Abomination away from him and finally get the upper hand his eyes meet Mordred's and she nods then walks towards the Ross' who were already out of the chopper were standing just as the chopper gets enveloped in flames Hulk claps his hands which sends a wave of air towards the chopper and the fire goes out then he sees Mordred rush in his direction out of the corner of his eye and looks in her direction with a confused expression on his face then he sees the Abomination swing something in his direction and he grips it he nods his head towards the Ross' telling Mordred to go back over to them and she obliges which sends a wave of relief over him and he focuses on the fight once more he was once Betty's hero now it was finally time for him to be Mordred's that was how he started to see it and his strength grew at that very thought "and he calls himself a genius!"  Mordred whispers Betty looks at her "he'll figure it out....hopefully!"  Mordred says "who are you!?!"  Thaddeus asks "Strange"  Mordred replies he looks at her oddly then thinks back to Bruce's words on the chopper and his eyes widen "you're probably thinking of my twin brother"  Mordred tells him and his eyes widen even more for he's read her "record" but still doesn't understand how a woman who was never insane ended up in a asylum "money can buy you the universe if you're rich enough!"  he hears her mutter under her breath and he almost smiles for it was like she was answering every question before he gets to ask them "I'm used to it!"  she says he nods for she probably is not only used to it but sick of it as well being asked the same questions or hearing the same statements over and over and over again they turn their attention back to the fight just as the Abomination realizes that all three of them were in the same place and he rushes towards them and Hulk uses the chain he tried to hit him with to tie him up Hulk looks up as Mordred walks towards them and his hands freeze but stay tightly clasped around the chains that are now chocking Abomination "don't sink to his level Hulk you're better than him so prove it!.... don't lose what heart you have the heart I know exists in that large muscular chest of yours"  he hears her say softly and his anger calms he drops the chains then places his foot on the Abomination's body making sure he stays put while the soldiers who drove up to where they are park then rush over to him and the Abomination Hulk looks down when he feels a small delicate hand slide into his monstrously big manly one and he gently squeezes it as he looks into the woman it belongs to eyes then he kicks the now unconscious Abomination over to Thaddeus Ross' feet and Thaddeus looks down at it "my brother is going to be so upset with me!"  Mordred whispers Hulk huffs out a chuckle "oh don't you start you still have yet to meet him!"  she says he looks down at her she smiles up at him then says "some other time seeing you big and green first thing might not be the best idea and you need a shower!"  he smiles "now.... who's going to clean this up!?!.... not I said the fly!"  she teases he makes a face and she chuckles then says "I think you're the first person to actually break Harlem it used to be so much stronger than you!"  he smiles her eyes widen when she realizes what the first thing she said could implicate then she smiles and whispers with a shrug "I don't see why not.... getting "the master"s approval may be tough though!"  he looks at her oddly and she smiles at him as she holds back a chuckle for he didn't seem to catch on as quickly as she did to the "hidden message" in the meeting of the brother and what it could mean.... not yet anyway "time to go"  she whispers he nods then gently picks her up making sure she stays on the side of his chest that isn't bleeding and he runs away from the crowd holding her gently in his arms when he finally stops running he attempts to put her down but sees that she fell asleep so he keeps her in his arms and smiles down at her he hears her whisper something and lowers his head to hear what she said then finds out that they're directions most likely to her brothers penthouse suite and he takes her there and meets the brother he's heard so much about who to his surprise didn't act as shocked or angry as he expected him to be as a matter of fact all he could see was relief on the mans face Stephen offers him the shower and couch and tells him to make himself something to eat if he was hungry Bruce who had changed back after he placed Mordred on the spare bed Stephen guided him to tried to argue but you just can't win against a Strange and as the man pointed out it was just for the night the man also seemed to believe that she'd "feel better" if she knew he was safe "I know my sister Doctor and I see how she feels about you"  Stephen tells him Bruce looks at him funny but says nothing and nods then heads towards the shower in the bathroom Stephen had pointed out.... Stephen gave him some clothes to change into they weren't really his "style" but he was glad to have them.... after a shower, a small meal and a nap Bruce leaves so he doesn't get the Strange siblings in trouble for harboring a fugitive....
