Chapter 3

Valentine was standing by Jake's said as Edward got out of his car, Bella following right after.

They walked up to them, Bella with her hoodie over her head.

"Hey," She said when they stop infront of them, keeping there distance.

"You left town," Jake said. Jake had been rather surprised that she'd went to visit there mother without Val, but he wasn't. Not even a little. Bella had be avoiding him for a while now, so it wasn't a surprise.

"Yeah, to visit my mom, why?" Bella asked.

"There checking to see if your still human," Edward chuckle, like this was some unbelievable prank. Valentine rolled his eyes.

"We're here to warn you." Valentine corrected. Edward huffed out a laugh.

"If you kind come on our land again," Jake growled, taking a step forward.

"Wait- what is he talking about?" Bella asked, alarmed.

"You haven't told her," Valentine smirked, keeping the disbelieving laugh at bay.

"Just leave it alone Valentine. " Edward tryed.

"Tell me what," Bella asked.

If Valentine had a lip pircsing, he would probably be fiddling with it right about know, trying to decide if he wanted Bella to know.

"Emmet and Paul had a misunderstanding. It's nothing to worry about," Edward said, and wasn't that the understatement of the century.

"Listen to you, did you lie to get her out of town too?" Jake growed.

"Just leave it alone." Edward groaned.

"She has the right to know." Valentine said. "She's the one the red head wants." Jake finished. He honestly didn't know how Bella and Edward made it this far with all the lies and shit going on between them. He knew he and Jake weren't perfect, be they definitely had it more figer out them them.

Was it just a straight couples thing?

"Alice's vision!" Bella supplied, looking like she figerd it out

"I was just trying to protect you." Edward told her.

"By lying to me!" Valentine really didn't know why she was suprise, it's not like he hadn't lie to her a thousand other times.

There was a silence in the air.

"Ok, where going to talk about this." Shetild her boyfriend.

"Whatever, come on Jake." Valentine says, going to the motorcycle and getting on, Jake on the back.

"Sup Leah," Valentine says to the werewolf.

"Hey Val," she smiles.

"Come on, let's go for a swim." Valentine said, looking out into the ocean.

"Stooop" She draws out.

"Stop what?" Valentine chuckle.

"I know your trying to get my mind of of Sam and Emily." Shd pouted.

"Sure am, know come on." Valentine grabbed her by her arm.

"Ok, fine."

"Where's you wolf?" Emily asked.

"Eh, I don't have a twenty-four hour clock on him." Valentine joked.
