Chapter 10

Valentine jumped onto Jake's back, "Seth, stay here." He said, before Jake took off.

When they reached the fight was already in progress, newborns dropping like flys.

Jake didn't pause to let him get of, so Valentine keeped balance as Jake ripped vampires apart and he made them burn. One vampires tryed to jump down onto him, but all that resulted in was a firery death.

Vampires where killed of as the wolfs tore into then, and the vamoer decapitated them. It was all very much like that untill Valentine noticed a girl hiding behind a rock, seemingly confused and sceard.

"Jake," Valentine said, but not outlook to his suprise, but in Jake's mind.

"What?" Was the reply. It was like the words floted around in his head before settling.

"There is a girl, behind that rock. Go to her, she looks.... innocent." Valentine said, noticing the exact moment Jake noticed her.

Carlisle and Esme was approaching her, seeming to notice the same as Valentine did.

"I'm gonna get off." Valentine said, before he did just that.

"Your crowding her." Valentine said, noticing the tiny flinch when Val spock, though not yet noting why. She was most likely just afraid.

Valentine slowly walked to her, before kneeling down.

"Hi, I'm Valentine. You?" Valentine asked, tilting his he'd, a small smile on his face. The girl was young, probably not even sixteen fir the looks of it.

"I-im Kalen." She says, her voice soft and shy.

"I pretty name. The fight is settling, would you like to come with me?" Valentine asked, slowly standing up before offering a hand.

She nodded her head, before taking Valentine head in her.

"Leah dont!" Someone called.

Then, as if time was going in slow motion, Valentine saw Jake charged at the vampire who had Leah's neck in a chock hold. Jake rammed into the vampires, knocking him of Leah.

The vampire was quick to get the upper hand, his arms around Jake's furry torso, and before Valentine could even try and help, a sicking crack was heard.

Jake whimper, as the vampire tossed him off. He collapsed on the ground, before turing human. Valentine ran to Jake, eyes full of tears as he cried his name.

The girl followed behind him.

Edward was already be his side, "Hold on, Carlisle gonna take care of you." He said just as Valentine reached him.

"Jake you idiot, I had i-"

"Stop Leah!" Sam says as they rush if Jake's side.

"Is he ok." Valentine asked, eyes frantic.

"The bones on the right half of his body is shatterd." Carlisle says, carefully touching the his side.

"Val," Jake mumbled. "Shh, save your energy pup." Valentine said, his voice shy of a panic attack, but if ballet has taught him anything, it that you panic after everything was over.

"I need to set the bone back before his accelerating healing kickes in." Carlisle pauses, before he says, "It already is."

"The Valtorys are almost here." Edward says.

"We dont want a fight." Carlisle comments, looking at Jake with concern.

"We'll take him to Bill's." Sam says.
