The week was off to a great fucking start. Things had weirdly been both amazing and absolutely terrible at the same time, and for inexplicable reasons, there was this heavy sensation of loneliness in the ambient air.

For less confusing reasons, there was also only one thing that seemed to matter ; Ava. Beyond the very basic sexual attraction, she was brilliant, kind, generous and so much more. And God knows that girl is a keeper. But things weren't that easy. To be fully honest, they were pretty fucking complicated.

Waking up wasn't the hard part. Getting out of bed, careful to not wake up the girl sleeping beside wasn't difficult at all. It was routine at this point. Routine which also included a few quiet sets of push-ups on the cold bathroom floor, and then a quick shower.

And after all that easy stuff, came the hard part. Mission : extraction.

Doors were supposed to be simple objects. Humankind has had fucking thousands of years to master the art of wood and masonry, yet they still were full of surprises when it came to opening them up without making a sound, you always have to be pretty careful if you don't want to draw attention. Unfortunately, a muffled sigh came from the other side of this stupid door when it closed not so discreetly. That's when she realized she'd once again be waking up alone.

As much as rightfully upset she was, things weren't all white or all white, and figuring them out was always pretty complicated.

Last night was okay, a little fun even. The company was fine, but the sex had been so bad that there wasn't any other way out than running away.

So yeah, there was only one thing on his mind. Ava. Or rather ; seeing her again. But first, there was a boring Monday to get through. Boring economics classes, then maybe tonight he'd text her, and hopefully they could meet again.

u up ?

There it goes. The last time they officially met was around a week ago, and she had been pretty distant, and somehow, after this weekend, he still had hope. But nothing too alarming, she had been like that ever since they broke up.

That hurt. It really did. There was more harm inflicted to his ego than his actual feelings, but still.

Great. Fucking. Answer.

His only good booty call had stopped things between them. Now, he felt even shittier than he did on Saturday. Ava was pretty active on social media, so when he saw that Instagram story of her and Shannon wearing pretty dresses in the reflection of Shannon's mirror, he dug deeper to find out where they were heading to. It was a place they'd never been before – and they were the type of couple that went out a lot. Weird.

Luckily, the place was pretty crowded and if his plan had gone according to plan, he could pretend that he didn't know she was here, 'bump' into her and hopefully they'd end up spending the night together. But when he stepped inside, oh he found her. He knew she'd want to explore her sexuality, after she came out as bisexual, and he regretted not taking her seriously. When he laid eyes on her, after briefly scanning the room, he saw her, dancing too close to that bitch. At least, she had great taste, but he couldn't deny how much he hated that new girl.

He recognized her best friend, and Shannon too, and he knew they'd easily connect the dots if they had seen him. His confidence had drastically lowered, he was trapped. Instead, he left and messaged one of his other booty calls, who also turned out to be one of his friends. And sure, Zori was hot, but she also was a mean bitch, and even though he knew she seemed to be interested in more, he'd still use her for sex. But it was so bad compared to Ava. Everyone, and everything was.
