Dear Ellie (A Steve Randle Love Story)

Chapter 1

Hello, my name is Eleanor Marie Curtis, but everyone calls me Ellie.
I am 16 years old and I have a twin brother named Sodapop, along with a younger brother Ponyboy and an older brother Darrel. Our parents died about a year ago and since then I've been being raised by my older brother Darry. Me and Darry get along quite well, but he is very protective over me, but I guess the entire gang is. I love the gang with all my heart. We may not all be related but we are all family.

“Darry, have you seen my flannel?” I yell from the bathroom while I'm getting ready in the morning.

“Yeah it’s in the dryer, I washed it last night.” Darry yelled back from the kitchen while making breakfast.

“Okay thank you.” I call back while exiting the bathroom.

“Bahhhh.” Two-Bit screams as I turn the corner.

“You aren't gonna get me this time Two.” but before I could say anything else I feel hands wrap around my waist and pick me up off the ground. 

“Good Morning shortie” Steve yells while throwing me over his shoulder.

“Put me down right now Steven” I said and Steve put me down immediately because I never use his full name so he knew I was mad. “I don’t have time for the two of you this morning. I'm gonna be late for school.

“You won’t be late” the two of them say while walking back to the living room.

After I got ready for school me, Pony, Two-Bit, and Johnny all head to school while Darry, Soda, and Steve all head to work.

I got to school and as usual it was boring. I suffered through all my classes and then at the end of the day I went to my locker. I was putting things away in my locker and then Two-Bit came up to me and asked if I was ready to go. I told him almost and then as soon as I was done we made our way to his car. 

“Are Johnny and Pony coming with us?” I asked as I got into the passenger's side of Two-Bit’s car.

“No, they told me that they were wanting to go to the lot or something” Two-Bit replied while getting in the driver's side and starting the car.

Two-Bit and I started talking about random stuff like parties and what we were gonna be doing on Friday night since it was Thursday. I told him I didn’t have any plans and so he started to tell me about some party that was going on. I didn’t really listen to him since he went to a lot of parties and some of them were not the best.

“Do you want me to drop you off at home?” Two-Bit asked

“Um.. you can just drop me off at the DX I think I’m gonna go hang with Steve and Soda for a little” I replied and so Two-Bit dropped me off at the DX.
