Todoroki's pov
"I'm ok." I huffed breathing heavy
It's been years since this outbreak has started. Every night the moaning and groaning become louder proving more and more people turn. All we know is 5 people for certain are alive. That's just our group. Me, Bakugou, Shinsou, Mina, and Denki. It's surprising that we've made it this far. Rations are hard to find.
"Anyone bit?" Bakugou looked at me and Shinsou
"No, but if the herd keeps acting like that we're all goners." Shinsou sat in a desk
"Have any luck?" Mina walked into the abandoned classroom
"Found some soup and noodles." Bakugou grumbled
"We also found gasoline, if we can find a working car maybe we can get out of here." I chimed in
"How do we know it hasn't infected the whole world?" She questioned
"We won't know until we look." Shinsou shrugged
"We're safe here! Why leave?" Mina replied
"We're no longer safe. The herd is getting closer and we're running out of food to find." I sighed
If anything is important to me, it's getting them out of here. Even if I have to stay behind so they'll actually be forced to leave. Denki walked into the room putting a key on a desk.
"Still can't find where this goes to." He frowned
"No need to keep looking. We'll be gone tomorrow morning." Bakugou crossed his arms
"Whatever you say boss." Shinsou says sarcastically
"We should pack then, and get good sleep." Mina mumbled and left the room with Denki
I left the room after them, struggling to keep the door open with my left arm. It felt weak and achy. Nothing I couldn't handle though. I heard the door open and close behind me and footsteps make their way closer to me.
"You look pale." Bakugou grabbed my arm to stop me from walking
"Just tired, I should get some sleep." I smiled softly trying to get him not to worry
"We sleep in the same room Icy-hot, can't get rid of me that easily." He chuckled
He let go of my arm anyway beginning to walk in front of me. Our steps echoed through the hallway. Looking at all the doors I chuckled to myself. Me and his door is the most boarded up. Bakugou hated the feeling if something went wrong we'd both be helpless.
"You want first watch or me?" He asked
"Always worried about us getting attacked at night." I rolled my eyes
"That didn't answer my question." He grumbled closing our door behind me
"I'll take first watch." I replied
"Didn't you say you were tired?" He tilted his head
His eyes glow beautifully in the night. The moonlight shines through them making him look gentle. He came up to me kissing my lips. We've had small moments like this. Both of us too scared to admit our feelings. Like if we say it out loud something bad will happen. But bad things surround us either way.
"You sleep, I'll take first shift." Bakugou mumbled
He walked towards the window sitting down with his rifle next to him. I sat in the desk behind him. I'd lay on the floor but blood covered it and dust has been forming. Deep down I knew I'd get no sleep. That's why I sit behind Katsuki, so he won't know unless he looks at me. I heard him sigh and he turns towards me.
