Y/N POV

i woke up once again, but this time i was in my bed. pezzy probably moved me here. i got up yawning and turned on my phone

and found over 100 notifications from all of my friends

puffer was... dead??

my eyes widened and i quickly began to call droid

"DROID WHAT HAPPENED??"

i could hear sobbing in the background

"puffer is dead." he said quietly

"what happened to him???"

"poison? i dont know. the forensic scientists are not telling me anything."

"but he's a pufferfish"i joked through small tears

droid laughed, but his laugh sounded empty. almost as if he was nothing but a shell. my heart dropped, wishing i could've done something to help, wishing i could've prevented puffer's sudden death.

an awkward silence set while quiet sobbing could be heard in the back.

"where are you?" i asked breaking the silence

"near smii7y's house" he sniffled

i quickly rushed over to find yellow police tape covering the floor, the streets, the road, everywhere. policemen and women alike filling the trafficked roads talking into radios, quickly running to and fro from police cars to the crime scene. i found droid sitting on the curb with grizzy sobbing loudly behind him. smii7y was standing there as well trying to console grizzy.

"droid?" i asked in a small voice

he looked up with his puffy red eyes, looking as though he had cried for years upon years.

"hey y/n" he mumbled as he wiped the crystalline tears that had filled his eyes

i sat down next to him on the slightly run down pavement. his eyes were soulless and we just stayed there for a while.

smii7y joined us too while grizzy sat by himself.

"how did this happen??" i asked

"are you jaren smith?" one policeman asked

"yes. why?"

"we have found the cause for death for the recently deceased 'puffer'"

we all bolted up to our feet

"the forensics say cause of death was intentional murder. they are still finding fingerprints and other clues. we will keep you updated mr. smith."

"thank you."

"where's pezzy" droid asked me

"i have no idea. i should call him. did you already tell him?"
