(Author's POV)
After setting off for your journey through Ooo, You, Finn, and Jake all arrived at your first stop: Finn and Jake's humble treehouse home. It was a really tall tree, taller than most you could remember. A remarkable yet concerning fact indeed. There were windows poking out of some of the base as well as the leaves of the tree, you assuming they led to the different rooms in the house cause, well, duh, that's what windows do silly. You could've sworn you saw a shadowy figure swoop by around the top of the tree when you looked, but, when you did a double take, there was nothing there. Your inquisitive mind screamed at you to find out what it was or even if it was real, but you decided to shrug it off for now. Instead, you turned your attention to Finn who'd began introducing you to his home.
"Sweet, right? Haha, anyways, welcome to our home, (Y/N)! We hope you enjoy your stay here, and," Finn opened the door to reveal his living room, "make yourself at home! My home is your home, dude." He gave you a toothy grin alongside Jake which seemed to be contagious as you gave a just-as-toothy smile right back to the both of them.
"Thank you, guys. You don't mind if I take a look around just to familiarize myself with the place, do ya?" You inquired. The two told you that they didn't mind one bit, except for the fact that Finn wanted to clean up his room first. He told you to stay downstairs for a bit until it was clean which you didn't mind doing. You wished him and Jake luck with cleaning their room and began your exploration and observation.
The living room seemed pretty homey, albeit a little chaotic in appearance. You first noticed the large branch with wooden slabs nailed into it, reminding you of a little kid's treehouse fort to which you giggled at for you knew Finn was childish, but not that childish. There was a comfy looking couch with a table in front of it, presumably where the two adventurous residents of the house would eat and chill out. Above the said comfortable-looking couch was a ripped picture of what looked to be a naked woman? Your face flushed a little at that and you puffed your cheeks before looking away and turning your attention to what looked to be the stove. It looked recently and frequently used, having what looked to be pancakes with bacon in them? You decided that was a concoction to try later, expecting your stomach to burst from even one bite. There were other bits and bobbles strewn about on shelves on the walls, but nothing else of note aside from the pretty branches that acted as the support beams for the rooms.
"I wonder if Finn and Jake built this place on their own," you mumbled to yourself, sitting down on their couch. It was a little rough but bouncy at the same time which was nice. You began to wonder about this place. No, not just Finn and Jake's treehouse home, but the Land of Ooo as a whole. What kind of creatures live here? Are there other Princesses? What about Kings or Queens? Maybe even Princes? You grimaced at the thought of a prince as the stereotype was them hitting on a bunch of girls which you absolutely despised. Your mind wandered off again, but not for long as you were suddenly greeted by what looked to be a small, portable game console?
"Oh! Finn and Jake didn't tell me we were having guests over," The small, talking machine waddled over to you and hopped up on the table in front of you before sitting down, holding out a little stubby hand, "My name's BMO! I live here with them!" He gave you a wide, friendly smile that radiated pure trustworthiness. How could you ever think ill of the cute little machine in front of you? You held out your pointer finger to BMO, his hand only able to wrap around one finger at a time. You returned his smile with a warm and comforting one, hoping to gain his trust and companionship.
"Hello, BMO, I'm (Y/N)," you said, shaking his hand gently with your finger, "It's a pleasure to meet you!" BMO's expression turned to one of realization as he let go of your finger, placing his fist on the palm of his right hand.
