The screen lit up once more, the contence of the great hall all on the edge of their seats wondering what would go down now that the Potters were gone as well as Voldemort. Will life go back to how it was before The Dark Lord rose? Many wondered, they would finally be able to live in a world without that man dictating how they used their freedom with out fear.
Crying was heard mixed with the background noise of raging wind and burnt debris falling from the Potters residence, not yet was anything seen, the screen still dark with the night of a dark ally way.
Heavy breathing and the crunching of gravel joined the heard movie, it sounded as if someone was running and had been for a while. Black sleek shoes that glistened in the moonlight lit the screen, they were moving in tandem as the camera shot made its way up and around to the back of the figure that was sprinting in the direction of the opening of the ally.
A burst of light made the screen momentarily white and the person exited the thin pathway, the sight of destruction that was once a lively home sat in front of the figure.
"No-" The whispered voice of a male joined the chaos. The voice was familiar.
"No. No No." The words spilled from the mans mouth as his slow walk towards the house turned to a stride which transformed into another sprint. "No no no no." The words began to splutter as the man chocked up.
As he reached the door frame his shoes cracked the slab of wood that had fallen below his feet.
"Prongs!" Sirius shouted as the camera revealed the persons face, tears filled eyes looked back at the occupants of the great hall.
Sniffles were heard from random students around the hall, Marauders and co all held each other tightly as their eyes stayed glued to the screen. Regulus' matching eyes stared at the broken look in her brothers older counterparts, he didn't deserve this, all he wanted was to have a loving family and now she is watching that dream crumble in 'real time'.
Sirius' lower lip trembled as he turned the corner to come face to face with the dull eyes of his best friend which were always so full of life. The empty cartridge of a stink bomb lay lifeless next to its creator corpse, the lingering of its stench soon reached the mans nose.
Tears started trailing down his face as he let out a wet chuckle catching on to what his brother had done in his last living moments, he reached down, brushing his fingers to close James's eyes so he could rest peacefully, he spotted the boys glasses a few feet from him as he made his way to stand.
He carefully picked up the broken glasses, casting a Reparo on them before placing them on the deceased mans face, Sirius made sure to pick up the stink bombs remains shoving it in his pocket as a final goodbye.
Sirius hugged James tightly reassuring himself he was still there, sitting next to him. Alive.
The emotions from her brother was overwhelming, she wanted to hold him and tell him it would be ok, she had forgiven him for his unintentional betrayal years ago realising she probably should have gone with him. She had wished to get to know Sirius's friends as well as he did one day, but not all wished came true.
Just as he was starting to make his way up the staircase a crash from outside caught his attention, his eyes turned cold as he strode out the doorway, his wand out for an offensive spell. He stopped dead in his tracks as his stormy eyes met with the watery blues of his traitorous friend who had fallen over some debris of his own choices.
"Sirius, I-" His words came to a sudden stop after realising he did not have an excuse, he knew the man who was pointing his wand had been there when he had taken on the role of secret keeper.
