𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐏, the poor boy would have enjoyed it more if he could actually breath, His eyes searching for someone that could delicately remove his hysterical parents arms from around his lungs.
His eyes landed on Atlas, pleading with his eyes to help. The Lestrange boy could not help smirk at his found brothers predicament, finally the boy took pity and turned to his mother.
Leaning his head up from where it rested on her shoulder he spoke in a quiet whisper. "Mother, if the Potters keep at what their doing to Harry they will kill him their selves." Regulus' eyes moved from where they were concentrated on her son to the new Potter family who were calming down their tears.
The woman's lips tugged at the corner causing a twinning smirk to that of her son when the youngest Potter looked towards her now for help. She slowly rose from her place, Rabastan's hand clinging to hers in confusion to where she was going, she gave her lovers hand a squeeze before letting go fully. She strode over to where the Gryffindor family were sat, eyes of most of the hall following her through their tear filled eyes.
With the grace of a butterfly, Regulus placed her hand on the red heads back, the other going to James' shoulder, leaning down she softly whispered in the mothers ear "Harry is looking slightly purple from lack of oxygen. Perhaps you both could loosen your grip on him."
Lily looked startled from the new touch, it took her a moment to register what the unexpected guest had mentioned. When she did though she immediately loosened her tight hug from her son while urging James to do the same.
A gasping breath came from Harry, his parents apologising profusely. Regulus had to cover her mouth to keep her laughter in at the sight, her eyes flickering to Sirius seeing him in the same position as herself.
She missed her brother, she really did. The cards they had been delt with had been a rotten bunch, she had had time to think over the past few years. It wasn't Sirius fault, it was their parents, she would have done the same thing if she was getting the brute of their parents rage every day. You get to a point where you cant take it anymore.
She knows that first hand.
Its the reason she died, she couldn't take the force of the Dark Lord anymore.
Her eyes softened when matching grey met her own, he looked surprised to see she wasn't looking at him his disgust but with a mischievous smile that riveled his own. So of course he sent her one back.
Sirius had been distraught when he found out his sister had taken the mark of the man that had ruined their family, he had taken out his frustrations on her at first but when his head finally cleared he knew it was the fault of her parents. He himself had been subjected to their manipulation, to their cruelty. The dread he felt in the pit of his stomach when Regulus had came to platform 9 3/4 with the aftershocks of the Cruciatus curse had made him sick.
He had promoted his baby sister to his position of the scapegoat. He would forever be indebted to his Reggie, for all the harm he had caused her, for all the years he had protected her just for him to shove her on the front lines.
When Harry had finally caught his breath, his lungs finally filled with fresh air; had stopped the apologies of his parents, he turned towards Regulus.
"Thanks Reggie." The young potter breathed out with a smile. Regulus recoiled at the nickname only those who were close to her had been given permission to use. The smile on Harrys face told her there was more to that story, it will all be revieled in the end anyway.
She just nodded and walked back to her place wrapped in the arms of her loved ones with a calculating look on her face.
Harry knew her personally somehow.
This will be interesting.
