SIX MONTHS ago, life had changed. Six months ago life had been normal. Six months is how long they had been stuck in this purgatory.

They had adapted in this new life. Like things hadn't dramatically changed. Of course, their rules stood. You do as your told or you're out of it. Out of food. Do you're job and no concenquen.

And as for Harry. He'd been back on his feet. In the sense of, no one really worried about him and what he could've or didn't say about Cassandra. He was working like the others. He hated it. He hated the work load. He hated it all.

But Gaia had come along. Some days she would be at Harry's and other days she would stay at Allie's.

Some days Noah would be with Harry at work and other days with Gaia. That's how they worked now. A compromise that they both settled on. Was it something Harry wanted? No, but for now. This was they way.

Right now, Noah was with Harry at the church. Harry was apart of the cleaning crew that day.

He was going to give his car off for a day for each of the task someone else would take, but that was against the rules. And Gretchen, who was also on duty, was going to tell if the exchange happened.

Harry deeply sighed and dropped his mop to the floor. He was tired. Physically and mentally. He approached Noah who sat on the church bench with his iPad in hands.

Now, some people had special perks. Couples could have their own private rooms and Gaia and Harry could be relived of the work for a temporary amount of time (times may vary) to take care of Noah.

To use it to their advantage was not ideal but sometimes, just sometimes, did Harry use his son to get out of work. It wasn't like he did it every day, he rarely did so, especially if Gaia had found out.

But this is how their society worked.

They had all been called to their usual meeting. Small talks of what was going on and the newest topics of discussion.

"What about the committee on going home?" Lexie asked.

"Gordie and Bean promised me a report on Thursday." Allie said.
