Chapter 2: Stranded?

Paladin swung his large silver-colored tail and smacked Amos directly in the face. Amos flew out of the cave and fell off the mountain. He was sure that he was going to die.

Suddenly, there was a flash of black. Tempest arrived right on time. His mighty and agile wings carried Amos to safety. They had landed onto an unknown island.

"Where is this place? What is this catastrophe?" Amos wondered out loud.

"I have no idea. It's not in the book of land," Tempest the Pegasus replied.

"Why did you bring us here?" Amos asked.

"I couldn't hold on anymore. My wings were injured from the sharp rocks and boulders on the way down and I had to land somewhere," Tempest replied sadly with his head hung down. His eyes were tearing with pain from his badly beaten wings.

"That's okay. Don't cry now! We will find a way out of here," Amos said with sympathy.

Their first attempt to escape was to swim but Amos almost drowned in the water. They both decided that it was too dangerous.

Their second attempt was to cut down trees to try to make a boat but they had no materials.

Their final attempt was to call for help. They had to yell really loud. Unfortunately, their voices wasn't enough.

"Let's just try to survive here. First of all, we need food, water, and shelter. But what are we supposed to do and how do we get that?" Amos questioned.

"Let's just explore and see what we get," said Tempest.

They were walking around to find berries to eat so they won't starve to death. They had just noticed the towering tree above them. The tree had something strange about it. It was glowing.

"How is this supposed to help us?" asked Amos.

As they walked past it, they heard a buzzing noise from behind. It was coming from the tree. The tree was showing an image of the future, 2015. In the image, there was no roaming mythical creatures or beasts shown. There were creatures that looked so small and weak. There were vehicles like carriages that carry people but had no horses and it had created an excessive amount of smoke.

"Is this what it would be like in our future?" thought Amos out loud.

This was like a nightmare for Amos and Tempest. They did not want a future like this. Suddenly, they got sucked into the tree and got teleported to their village.

Amos got in trouble as soon as the academy head, Mr. Lock found out that Amos stole Tempest from the stables. He was banned from riding Pegasi for three whole months. Amos was sad but he thought of the tree and never wanted a future like that so he decided to be good the rest of his life. He got over Sienna and Paladin quickly. Amos decided that they weren't worth his time.
