I sit there in shock. Tess just ended us. I watch as ted gets out his car. I watch Tess go. Ted walks in and orders at the counter. He sits down and looks at me. "Shit she must've been ruthless huh" ted says. I nod my head.
"Go out and get shitfaced?" Ted asks. I nod my head. "Tbf isn't it Ashley's birthday tonight?" I ask Ted. He nods his head. "Party?" Ted asks me. I nod my head.
That night me and the guys go to Ashley's birthday party. We get through the door and I lock eyes with Tess. She's looking drop dead gorgeous. Her hair is tied in a ponytail. Her brown eyes have a slight glint in them. She's wearing a tight pair of blue jeans and a white crop top. I can see her bra straps that she hasn't bothered to hide under the crop top. That's when I realise she's wearing the same red lingerie that she wore the day we bought the hook up rule back. I see her face drop when she sees me. "Ah shit" ted says. I nod my head. I go and find the first red cup I find and start to drink.
Hours of birthday celebrations go by. When Tess catches my eye again. I watch as she gets ready to leave. I follow her out the house.
We get as far as the front gate before she sighs. She spins on her heel. "Fuck sake mike" she says. The street light is the only thing illuminating us. "Did you really not get the fucking message this morning" Tess exclaims. I shake my head. I look in to her brown eyes. I feel a drop of rain hit my face. Tess walks over to me. CRACK! Her right hand slaps me round the face. The rain starts to pick up. Tess steps back. "Fuck sake mike" she says. The rain soaks her hair bringing it down her face.
"What are we doing here mike?" She says. I look at the girl I love. "Giving up it would appear" I say. Tess shakes her head. "Your saying that like you didn't reject me this morning! Now you want it back again fuck sake mike we're not kids anymore" She says. I look into her eyes blankly. She's right. I can't even deny that. "FUCK SAKE MIKE! YOU CABT THROW YOUR TOYS DOWN THE DRAIN THEN CRY ABOUT IT WHEN SOMEONE REFUSES TO GIVE THEM BACK TO YOU! YOU FUCKED THIS UP NOW YOU'VE GOTTA LIVE WITH IT!" She shouts. I sigh. The rain starts to pour more and more.
I reach for tess's arm. She tries to bat me away. But she fails. I press our body's together and I kiss her. She pushes away and stares into my eyes. "Fuck sake" she mutters
