It is now morning, and the first bell of the first day of school just ring. Mike and the others walk to the scaring school as they head inside. Teresa sat down next to Webs and was near Diane, who gave her a wave. She waves back as Mike jumps into a chair, but didn't notice the size different between him and the other students. But the ones beside him did as one mutters to the other, "You gotta be kidding me." Randy sat next to Mike and whispers, "I'm so nervous!" "Relax. It'll be fine."

Mike reassures before a male voice spoke, "Good morning, students! Welcome to scaring 101." They looked forward to see an orange dino monster as he writes on the chalkboard, continuing, "I am Professor Knight. Now, I'm sure all of you were the scariest monster in your town. Well bad news kids: you're in my town now. And I do not scare easily." He suddenly gasps as sunlight suddenly shots in his face. A monster suddenly spreads its wings, and flies down from its position on the window.

Once it lands, Knight gets a better look at the arrival before saying, "Dean Hardscrabble. This is a... pleasant surprise." Teresa whispers, "Hardscrabble?" Webs whispers to Teresa, "She's a legend. She broke the all time scare record with the scream in that very can." The dean gently plucks a piece of dirt from the scream canister before speaking, "I don't mean to interrupt. I just thought I'd drop by to see the... terrifying faces joining my program." Professor Knight spoke next, "Well, I'm sure my students would love to hear a few words of... inspiration."

"Inspiration? Very well." The dean said before crawling over to the class, speaking, "Scariness... is the true measure of a monster. If you're not scary... what kind of a monster are you? It's my job to make great students, great. Not make mediocre students, less mediocre. That is why at the end of the semester, there will be a final exam. Fail that exam, and you are out of the scaring program."

Mike grows wide-eyed, while the other students gasp and whisper to each other, until another voice spoke, "Of course, but it's also a learning experience." Everyone turns to see a Guinea pig near Professor Knight's feet as the Guinea pig steps out of the shadow, dean Hardscrabble saying, "Professor Marmalade, you're late." "And I do apologize for my tardiness." Marmalade spoke before looking at the class, saying, "You see, there are multiple paths you can take, even if you did fail the exam, but we can all let bygones be bygones with different career paths. It's only a matter of time to have a back-up plan for all of you to think of." The students whisper to each other about that before Marmalade finished, "Well, that's about it from me. I do hope that all of you animals and monsters have a pleasant school year." He then walks out of the door before Hardscrabble says to the class, "So, I should hope you're all... properly... inspired."

She flies around the room, then finally out the window, before Professor Knight spoke, "Alright, alright. Who can tell me the properties of an affected roar?" Mike raises his hand, gaining his attention and says, "Yes?" Mike gets up and explains, "There are actually... five: those include the roar's resonance; the duration of the roar; and the-" He is interrupted by a loud lion roar from the doorway. Everybody turns to the door to see a big figure at the door, but the figure steps up to be a big monster with  hairy blue fur with purple polka dots as he says, "Oops. Sorry. I heard someone say roar so, I just kinda went for it." He makes his way through the students before Professor Knight spoke, "Very impressive. Mister..."

"Sullivan. Jimmy Sullivan." Sulley introduced, which Professor Knight remembers the last name before asking, "Sullivan? Like... Bill Sullivan? The scarer?" Sullivan sat on a desk and says, "Yeah. He's my dad." Many people gasp at that, but Webs secretly scoffed with annoyance as she rolls her eyes.

"I should've known. I expect big things from you." Professor Knight spoke as Sulley was making himself comfortable before Mike raised his hand and asks, "Um, I'm sorry. S-should I keep going?" "Nah, nah... Mr. Sullivan's covered it." Professor Knight said and motions to Sulley, who gives him a wink and clicks his tongue. Knight chuckles at that before saying, "Everyone take out your scaring textbooks and open them to chapter 1." Everybody did as told, but unknown to them, four figures were sneaking in the shadow, hoping that they wouldn't get caught.

Knight felt their presence and takes out his checkbook, yelling, "Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, and Mr. Piranha. You four are 15 minutes late." Everyone turns around, seeing the four frozen in place: a brown wolf with a white suit, white pants and brown shoes, a snake with a red Hawaiian shirt and a boat hat with a front face pin, a big shark with a red shirt and a black jacket with a shark tooth necklace, and a small piranha with a white shirt and red straps attached to his black pants. Wolf was the first to speak, "Oh c'mon, it's our first day. Can't blame that, huh?" Knight only scoffed and says, "If you four weren't on my list of attending the scaring program, I would've chased you all out. Now take a seat." Wolf gives him a two-finger salute before he and the other three went to some empty seat.

They weren't exactly close together as Wolf sat next to Diane and Piranha sat next to Webs. Snake and Shark sat on other empty desks before Knight continues his lesson. Wolf peers over to Diane's direction and whispers, "Well, guess I must be the lucky guy to sit with a cute fox. Got a name?" Diane rolls her eyes and says, "Not a chance there." "Ah come on, I promise I won't bite." Diane lightly chuckled before Knight spoke loud, "Mr. Wolf, how about you wait until AFTER class for your free time?" Some of the monsters quietly laughs as Wolf went quiet. Diane has an amused look on her face.
