Chapter 4 - Afternoon Idle Talks

Before you read this, I just want to say: Spoilers. One of the changes I made in the chapter happens to slightly spoil one of our minor plans with the main story. Not anything major, just want to say it anyway.

Unfortunately, due to an incident, your memory of her became cloudy and from the on your relationship was cut off. As of now, she's attending St. Freya due to a mission.]

Glynne stood for what he felt like hours have passed as he took in all the text inside the box floating above Bronya's head. He didn't expect to meet one of his fellow orphans, much less remember her. Then again, it might explain that small twinkle in her eyes when she saw him approach, likely because she recognized him.

"What's wrong, subject Glynne?"

Snapping out of it and realizing he's nearly making a fool out of himself not just in front of Bronya but also the whole classroom, he thanked his powers for helping him compose himself quite quick (even if it was the one that put him into his current situation).

"N-Nothing Bronya, I just remembered some stuff after seeing you."

A surprised expression appeared on the normally stoic girl's face before she quickly schooled it to her previous one.

"...I see."

"Ahem."

Both the black-haired and silver-haired students turned their heads towards the source of the sound, which was Himeko, who wore an amused smile on her face.

"As amusing as it would be seeing you try to win over another girl, Mr. Charmer" she said as she gestured with her head towards the girls in the classroom who wore unamused smiles (though whether it's because of his actions or because they were jealous of his attention to Bronya after his earlier actions, he didn't know), "we still have classes. So no more talking loudly."

The day went by as the classes continued before they finally reached the afternoon classes. Though ironically the last ones, the practical lessons and training, were ironically the most boring one of the day for our male protagonist, purely because he had nothing to do. Oh the joys of being exempted from matches because it's his first day. He could watch the matches, but to him they were a bit lackluster. Thankfully, he had an AI in his head to talk to in order to pass the time.

'...and that's why Japanese cheesecakes are better than American ones for me.'

'I'm surprised you know those, actually' Glynne commented on the AI's knowledge.

'Hm hm~, I actually have some preinstalled knowledge, so I know a couple of stuff.'

Just as he was about continue their conversation, his phone vibrated. He quickly took it out to see who it is, and smiled as he saw a familiar yellow bear icon.
