Not realising they cut so deep
They come like bars slowly caging me in
Every word leaving a mark
An unseen scar
You don't see the pain
You don't care
Or maybe you do but you don't show
Like everyone you play pretend
Or is it really you
Deep down you know
They come like fire
Burning every edge and corners darkness once filled
No you don't light them
You burn them down
Like ashes they fly
See maybe words can mean well
Filled with love and all good
But at most you chose otherwise
And here I am lettering it out
What words of mouth choose to shut.
