Crystal's POV
The gang and I were fighting Eggman like usual, but no Shadow. But who could blame him, I mean, Eggman kinda goes into fangirl mode when it comes to Shadow.
I was fighting when 2, yes, TWO MEGA ROBOTS EMERGED OUT OF NOWHERE!!
We've already defeated the small bots, so that was a head start. I noticed that the robots were more powerful than I thought unlike last time.
That's when I saw all of my friends down and severely injured on the ground. I was past furious. I was ENRAGED!
"HOW. DARE. YOU. HURT. MY. FRIENDS!!!!" I shout.
I felt anger boil inside me like never before. I started levitating off the ground and I wasn't even using my powers. Cyan fire outlined my eyes and quills, My turquoise eyes were now red-orange. My teeth were sharper, my tiara appeared, but it was black with red gems.
Soon enough, my hands were glowing with power. And then, I destroyed both robots with a beam of dark magic. Once the bots were obliterated, I saw Eggman retreat immediately. I started to calm down a bit and gradually hovered back down to the ground, back to my normal self.
My friends looked at me with shock. I felt fear rise inside of me. "Crystal... I've never seen that side of you... you're usually so kind..." Amy said, shaken up about what just happened. That's when I started running. I heard Sonic call my name, but I didn't stop until I reached the lake Shadow and I hangout at. Shadow was not around today, so he couldn't be here.
I sit down on a nearby log and start crying. "How can I do this? I nearly destroyed the whole village and killed my friends. What is happening to me?!" I cry out, my voice echoing through the forest. "It's probably just a simple power overtake," a familiar voice says behind me. I turn around and see Shadow. I turned back around cause I didn't want him to see me crying. I can hear his footsteps approaching me.
He sits down next to me and pulls me close. "It's going to be alright, Crys," he assures me. "Not it's not! I almost hurt everyone and now my friends think that I'm a monster!" I cry. Shadow pulls me into a hug, caressing my long quills as I cried on his shoulder.
"C'mon. I know a place that'll settle you down a bit.
We finally stopped and Shadow pushed away some vines, revealing a beautiful meadow with sun kissed flowers. "Well, do you like it, Crystal?" he asked me. "I love it," I respond. "So how did this happen anyways?" Shadow asks, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
I explain to him what I did and how I lost my temper at Eggman. "I've never heard of someone transforming into an angry fiend like that, Crystal. You sure you're alright?" "I think it's just one of my advantages as royalty." I say, shrugging.
"No, it's because your own powers are taking over you. You need to learn how to control them," Shadow looked at me concerned. Suddenly, a smirk appeared on his muzzle. "But I can help you with that. I mean, we share most the same powers." I sigh again, but more playfully . "Alright, teach me your ways, master," I say dramatically. Shadow rolled his eyes at my goofiness.
"Your training starts tomorrow."
