l stand there for almost an hour before I hear something. I look up and see my neighbor Phill standing on the fence waving around a rifle. normally I wouldn't be scared but then again I've never been a wolf before, plus I know Phill actually plans on shooting me. yes there is a law against hunting, especially in your neighbors yard but I can tell by how his eyes are glazed over that he is drunk again. Phill has always had a drinking problem. I run into the woods and hear a round of Loud shots go off behind me. I simper but go farther into the woods. I ought to be safer here. I walk around for about 4 more hours, jumping every time I hear anything. I finally get tired. I find a small clearing with tall grass to sleep in. I lay down and close my eyes. I regret only eating a sandwich before this happened. I yawn and drift off to sleep. I dream of waves lapping lazily against the shore, I dream of meadows of flowers, dancing in the wind. it seems like not 4 minutes later when I awake and I wouldn't know that I'd slept all night if the sun hadn't been just peeking over the horizon and the grass covered in shining drops of dew.
